‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun’ -John Keats, To Autumn
Me: I don’t need to write down that story idea, it’s so unique I’ll never forget it!
Narrator: It was in fact so unique she never remembered it again.

Books read in January
I’m giving myself a lower reading goal this year. We’ll see how it goes.
I think that one of the biggest problems with JK Rowling is how she responds to criticism. Rather than engaging with critics and explaining her actions, she blocks them and acts like she’s done nothing wrong. Considering that a large part of the books were about adults not taking younger people seriously and ignoring her I just think it’s disgustingly hypocritical of her to block those who dare to criticise her creative decisions 🐸☕️
Some witchy reading…
The Occult, Witchcraft, and Magic
In your book haul from the summer, what is the book on the very far left?
That would be Jane Austen at Home, by Lucy Worsley. She also did a BBC show that goes with the book where she visits the places Jane Austen lived, which I definitely recommend checking out if you can. (It might be on youtube somewhere…)
“I hate to hear you talk about all women as if they were fine ladies instead of rational creatures. None of us want to be in calm waters all our lives.”
