thinking about the interior of the hail mary at the end of their journey to erid makes me crazy. it must be so fucking scary and weird in there. rocky is lucky for his lack of olfactory reception because it must smell like a graveyard. i think i find myself falling into the social conception of “spaceship” as all white padded surfaces and cool button lights and port windows when im imagining her sometimes but. after all they do to her to refit her and then just the simple act of existing in such a minuscule space for years on end. she must look kind of like the interstellar equivalent of the house in chainsaw massacre at the end. not a white surface left. weird fucking art. filthy. strange and dark and cramped and fucking gross!

feeling very sensitive abt gracerocky as kids… all their hurts and interests and hobbies set them on a trajectory to meet each other, from the moment they were born!!! every tiny little baby step brought them closer to each other and they didn’t even know it… and even though their childhoods were offset by hundreds of years they can be kids at the same time in their memories. ugh. UGH
