When I make an angel I usually try to think of it more as a natural creature rather than some innately holy being. Like if humans and animals evolved the way we did on a physical plane, how would a creature that exists on the premortal plane, a place with no physical boundaries, evolve?

The other thing I try to maintain is that these angels don't have inherent morality, because they are just creatures after all. I want their appearance to be dazzling and bright and angelic, but their form to make you a little uneasy if you saw it in nature, and think twice before approaching. Like you don't know this angel, so would you be approaching a deer or a bear?

It had been raining like crazy these past few days, and last night I finally found out why! Saw this poor thing skulking around outside, it's wings were drooped so low they were dragging on the ground :( it must've brought all this rain as an omen I guess...

I wonder what angels mourn about?

I like to imagine that no one else in TV World would recognize puppet Spamton and just think he's some creepy toy their boss likes to carry around
