I think the average person is smart enough to learn basic stuff about operating a computer regardless of how idiotproof digital systems become for marketing purposes. then I see that the biggest video platform in the world doesn't trust its average viewer with the responsibility of Picking One Of Three Or Four Options From A List and it's like okay well maybe they actually do want you to feel like an insane poindexter freak for wanting even the slightest bit of input into how the things on your devices function. I don't think knowing what a resolution is and clicking on the one you want should be considered Advanced. I don't think we need to obfuscate what we mean by better or worse picture quality. I think people can be trusted with that one.
