driven mad by the flesh

been playing silksong lately and i’m not super far in but i’m not really seeing where people were saying it was harder than hollow knight. it definitely assumes you’ve played through hollow night because a lot of the early game enemies have tactics you don’t see in hk until later, but they’re still easy versions of those hk enemies and if you’ve played hk you get used to them pretty fast. so far everything else that’s been difficult has been getting used to the mechanical differences w hollow knight like the diagonal nail jump and the having to die 50 before beating a boss rhythm, but i wouldn’t say any of the bosses or jumping puzzles so far have felt harder than my first attempts at hollow knight

based on how people were talking about it when it first came out i was expecting to be like. doomed. cause hk was hard enough but i was still able to hit 112% with enough dedication and also quitting my job mid 2020. but silksong is really fine so far
