A few of the more creative spellings of Christmas I’ve come across while looking for Dear Santa letters in old newspapers this year.

If your utopia doesn’t start from a place of believing in the good we can do in this world, it’s not a utopia, it’s just sparkling misanthropy. All you’re doing is protecting yourself from harm by pre-emptively believing that all of humanity is vile and evil and corrupt, so that you can never be disappointed. You’re not wise, you’re just living in your trauma response.
