Twenty months of hand sewing later:
SHES DONE!!!
(The back)
EPP front, machine pieced back, hand quilted all over.
For my first full-size quilt, I think it turned out pretty well :)

QUILT.
Folk Fibers Quilt
getting into garment sewing this spring, starting with a fun little shirt :)
finished my fancy colorwork socks! and it only took me a year!
Cathedral window news!
Rows D and E have officially been joined via my longest-ever whipstitch seam (though the newly-joined windows have yet to be filled in in color). Starting to get a sense of how big this thing will be—there are 9 of these rows 😬— but I’m loving how the circle shapes and the color gradient are coming through!

"Baba with the fish", linocut by Marta Janik.
[ID: A black linocut print on white paper of a woman in a headscarf and long coat walking with a massive fish under one arm. End ID]
oh…. my hottéd dog
I can’t remember if I ever posted this baby quilt I made for my friends? Baby was nicknamed “penguin” throughout the entire pregnancy so I made this quilt, semi designed by myself using this fpp penguin and this fish block, organised into my own layout.
Baby’s mums both love whales as much as I do so when I walked into the fabric store and saw the whale fabric I knew I had to pick the rest of the colours around <3 you can’t really tell in the photo but the darker fish have shiny gold spots all over which was one of my favourite parts!

New Year cards by Nikolai Poklad (USSR, 1970s-80s)
I cut all the sashing and filler pieces and decided on a layout! I also found a gorgeous fish print for backing while looking for batting so I won't have to piece scraps for that!!! Very excited and happy about this quilt coming along.
I have three rows assembled already and deeply regretted the way I folded the seams on the fish snouts, but I managed to make it work and learned a new Not-To-Do.
