I once went on an overnight trip to the seaside with my family on zero hours sleep. Meaning no sleep the night before leaving and no sleep the night we stayed over. The third day I felt completely fine until dinner time until literally the second I finished the last bite of my curry (we where at an Indian restaurant) I instantly started to hallucinate and had to basically be dragged back to the car. Worse, I have never been able to sleep in cars ever (even when I was a very young child) so I had to stay awake through the hour and a half ride back home, nodding and blinking out of consciousness. I remember I had to share a room with my sisters on holiday but was unable to sleep as they were breathing too loud in their, I was maybe 13 at the time. Since then I have slept with a noise machine haha. Another pretty horrible sleep deprivation experience I have had was when I was maybe 15 and I went swimming with my mom on zero hours sleep and swimming is a pretty strenuous activity! The swimming pool near where I live is right next to the big Tesco so we always go in after we go swimming but I was so tired at that point that I was left to sit on a bench alone, nodding in and out of consciousness and crying. That wasn’t so great.
I feel great right now though!
