the fact that they weren't even treated as human beings with real feelings and emotions just fodder for content just makes me so sick to my stomach. they were so young too. facing so much cruelty and sheer lack of humane empathy at the hands of so many of their peers. and yet these good, kind, lovely boys never let it drag them down to that level. i can't even imagine not just the anxiety of being so deeply closeted but the anxiety of everyone around you treating that closet and your trauma and the one thing that's your safe space as the butt of a joke. dan and phil deserve every single ounce of happiness and goodness and light and love and joy that comes their way.
