A bad summary of the Slay The Princess cast
The Narrator: The first character you ever meet. Came up with a really elaborate plan to get rid of death which only works in 3/6 in the endings because Slay The Princess is a multiple choice game and everyone that plays multiple choice games loves to be a contrarian. He’s an ass to the Princess and not much nicer to you so it’s really easy to hate him.
The Princesses: I would’ve described every Princess but I don’t have time for that and I don’t wanna make this post super long. Basically different forms of the Princess that depend on your actions and perspective of her. You can make her love you or want to grind you into bird-dragon paste and you’ll still have some sort of connection with her (mainly rooted in the fact you’re the only thing she knows). Every Princess is scary as hell in their own way and justifiably so; if I was stuck in a cabin constantly telling me that this is what I deserve and a weird dragon thing was sent down to kill me I should have the right to send shivers up a spine.
The Voices: Basically pieces of you: you get one every time you die that depends on how you die. They can be helpful and funny or annoying as hell depending on route you’re on (the pristine cut takes this to crazier extents), either way they’ll not like the narrator. Unsurprisingly. I have more to say about them individually but for the sake of time you’re getting what is probably the shortest paragraph
The Shifting Mound: The true form of the Princess, The God of Change. Wants to be reunited as a God with you but needs you to give her perspectives so you two can be complete, she also analyses the Princesses we get for us which thank god for since some people in this fandom have zero media literacy (…I am apart of ‘some people’). When she awakens into Godhood she goes overboard to the point where you have to go to her heart to let her come to her senses and realise that mortality is awesome actually. She loves all the gifts you give her…except the ones she’s already gotten. In that case you need to get new ones.
The Long Quiet: The true form of the player character/Hero, the God of Stagnation. Is literally the cage the narrator puts you and the Princess in, and is probably the one who gives you dialogue options in the first place. It’s hard to describe his personality since he’s literally supposed to be you but given our dialogue options I’d imagine he’s a chill guy.
