While we are very willing to give out information and we understand many may be curious we are not obligated to share our personal experiences. Some questions may be denied but do not feel as though you shouldn’t ask something if you are unsure.

When we first made it we did so to avoid any possibility for our post to come up if people search those things but we’ve removed the censors since then because of this very issue.

Anyway saying our trauma is valid doesn’t excuse saying “but I actually care about people” (insinuating we don’t)

That’s totally understandable!! In fact, we have the same issues. Intrusive thoughts and CDDs make complete sense to go hand in hand.

It’s important that you regulate yourself and remember intrusive thoughts aren’t inherently logical, nor do they describe you as a person.

Your brain is extremely complex. if you’re able to we recommend speaking to a therapist or doctor of some sort to help figure out yourself. If you can’t, we then recommend close family or friends who may help. But we understand if neither are accessible to you.

Plenty of people with CDDs struggle with thoughts of somehow “accidentally faking.”

Good job for seeking answers and help in anyway you can!! Feel free to keep sending asks about anything you see fit, we may not be a professional but we still care and are proud of you!!

This next part is more so for others that may read this post, not necessarily for anon

I was recently diagnosed with osdd and I wanted to ask what does it sound like in your head when alters talk. I am very much still in denial about my diagnosis because I feel like I can’t tell my voice apart from potential people in my head and that I might just be faking. So I’m curious as to what others experience when it comes to hearing alters voices.

For us personally, hearing eachother in our head can often sound like just one person talking to themself! In fact, when we’re internally communicating that’s actually where we are least distinct. For some systems there might be talking over eachother but for us it’s sounds like someone interrupting themself.

We’re a system that speaks out loud with different accents depending on who’s fronting, but in our head these voices differentiate from each other much more, sometimes even sounding the exact same.

In your head you may hear completely different voices that overlap, slightly different ones, just one, or anything like that. Remember, OSDD (and DID) is/are different for everyone. There are so many different symptoms that can fall under CDDs. Just because you don’t fit one thing doesn’t mean you don’t have a CDD, and vice versa.

If you aren’t getting a feeling of who a headmate is, they don’t say who they are and they don’t have a clear voice a way we tell different headmates apart is by what they say. If they’re new this can be much harder, but having a cdd isnt easy. We often make guesses on who said what just by “that feels like a (blank) thing to say.”

Coming to terms with a disorder (especially one like this) can be very challenging. Take your time, write stuff down, be kind to yourself/your headmates!!

You can absolutely be a system with little to no amnesia! Every system is different!!

For your question we know it’s taboo but writing stuff down can be a huge help, if you don’t have access to/don’t like using paper use your notes app on your phone. Another thing is if you live with people ask them about things you’re unsure about.
