Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. Iâm talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.
I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.

Talking to doctors about bodily autonomy and consent is fucking something, G-d give me the strength.
She's not even a psychiatrist.
She also acts like getting sick is a moral failing.

I matched with a girl who immediately wrote that she liked me and wanted to go to a choyxona with me. Today is the exact day I'm going to another city. I'll be there for two fucking months. Why did we match today?!
I wanna write a script about a main character who's basically me in like six years.
Happy disability pride month to all who it affects!
Special mention to my fellow lads ladies or other who know there's something wrong with them. Many things. They're aware they dont quite fit and things dont quite work but they can't find a label. No neat little hole for you to place yourself in. You don't get a diagnosis because its too expensive or it'll take too long or you don't feel like sitting in front of a doctor and trying to explain a thousand little things that just don't fit.
You are valid. This is your pride too. Just because it's not diagnosed and labelled doesn't mean its not real.
I can't understand if my new problems with communication are from stress (going back to live with my parents is something, even if it's just for a while) or it's just that I haven't talked with anyone that much until she came.
Hi everyone! This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly. The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldnât find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me! Some could say: âYes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!â, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other âtypesâ of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However Iâm focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they âdidnât know what to doâ! Iâd like to insist on two things: 1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked! 2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person youâre helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If youâre in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel! For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :) Please donât hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!! Lots of love and stay safe! PS: I you repost this cartoon of mine on twitter or instagram, please add me in the post so I can see it, with @itsmaeril :)
An important reminder today, and every day.
This is based off of the Non-Complementary technique in psychology - also known as âflipping the scriptâ.
It is a legitimate tactic for defusing a situation that could otherwise escalate to become quite nasty.
People instinctively reciprocate anger with anger and kindness with kindness, but what happens when someone breaks this âcomplementary be

people on tumblr might lack reading comprehension but reddit users are inventing new forms of media illiteracy i never thought were possible
fascinating...
I don't remember the exact guy who preached to study art without the context and just it's appearance, but it reminded me of him for some reason.
"it's a tv show" "it's not real" i don't care. NO SHOES ON THE BED
okay if this breaks containment I think my asian grandparents would be proud of this post being my legacy. but for their sake i must clarify my personal stance. NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE AT ALL
As a Russian yeah. No shoes at home.
Mama started off her phrase quite woke (on people who say that immigrants steal their jobs) and mid-phrase turned xenophobic, how in the world does she do that? She's an immigrant (with darker skin!) herself for G-d's sake.
I know this faggot, he sells wooden dicks in Khimki.
I have to name my third alter (who doesn't have a name yet) Paloma just out of sarcasm because she's the most aggressive being in the system. She fought a friend of mine physically quite a few times. On the other hand, there was a hurricane of that name... not very peaceful...
Also there's three of us and if she'll be the dove it'll be funny.

July is Disability Pride Month
Letâs celebrate by keeping disabled people ALIVE and SAFE.
Want to know how you can help?
WEAR A MASK.Â
(FFP2/3 or N95 give best protection, especially the ones that fasten behind your head)
Maybe masking again feels overwhelming? Hereâs where you can start: 1) Wear a mask to medical appointments + in the waiting room 2) Wear a mask at the supermarket/corner shop 3) Wear a mask on public transport Your local mask bloc (maskbloc.org) is a great resource! Both for solidarity/social connection AND for free masks if you canât afford them. We look after each other. This includes looking after disabled people who are unable to wear masks, and thus are at even more risk than the rest of us. <3
A lot about my mom these days, hah: she tried to make me put candles in a church and my "I'm Jewish! And not Christian!" didn't work on her but she put the candles herself eventually. She was pissed at me though.
