oh so yeah our runalong (a black, silhouette-y, shadow-y wolf with a singular yellow eye) became digitigrade and entered our brain so that happened. yeah so. complicated story.
a couple weeks ago we got this person named Miros (they/it). they named themself after the Miros Birds from Rain World, they look a little bit like one as well. it's drawn itself before, just look at our most recent plural comic if you actually care. but uh. that was also the name for our runalong (those people/creatures you imagine running/parkouring as youre staring out the window of a car yknow. them) and we thought that was weird. our runalong, who was in fact a character and totally not a real person, haha how could they be?
well they kinda. forcefully entered our brain. they're named Miros as well. Miros Runalong uses they/them. the Miroses are a type of subsystem we call "orbiters", where two alters that fill the same role and feel similar are in a state where only one exists in the brain at a time, and they "switch out". Miros and Miros are orbiters, and the inactive one becomes plantigrade and turns into our runalong until they get swapped back in.
we're still not really sure why? the runalongs arent really intentional, we don't pick how they are or what they do, so it's possible it's more like one will front specifically to imagine themself running places. kind of like an innerworld-outerworld hybrid in our imagination.
uh. is this normal. and valid. this is sort of a weird thing I think
