Spot The Difference (One Year Apart)

My art journey has been an odd one. Since I was young, I was always writing, always drawing. I still remember my Earth Science teacher, may he rest in peace, commenting how he never understood how I got good grades in his class - but he let me draw, encouraged it, and I had the highest scores and marks in his subject.

I went through some dark times in life, and for years, I stopped. Now, I don't know why I ever did.

Since I started on my sobriety and healing journey nearly four years ago, art has become that escape for me again, and it's become so much more than that now. It's helped me heal, allowed me to accept myself, even parts that I didn't want to, didn't think I could. It's become my safe space, my happy place, and I don't ever plan to let it go again.
