wild animals are not pets. just because it's legal to own an animal does not mean it is ethical. raccoons, foxes, squirrels, owls, tigers, servals, and otters are not pets. primates especially are not pets. wild animals are not pets.

also, most people do not have what it takes to care for animals like birds and wolfdogs. that macaw you want can bite your finger off and will raise hell in your apartment. that high-content wolfdog will always be dangerous to leave alone around people and other animals. common turtle species in the pet trade can live for decades. that sulcatta tortoise can live to be over 100 years old and dig through brick.

don't feed wild animals. leave them alone. if you see a baby animal on its own, please do some research before you decide it has been abandoned. if you do find an injured or abandoned animal, call a wildlife rehabber or someone who works with animals and knows what they're doing. don't try to do it yourself.

Misogyny isn't just "I hate women", it's also downplaying their trauma, defending those who caused it, and reducing them to mothers or wives against their wishes under this idea of what womanhood is about.
