steve and robin marry for tax and safety reasons. they divorce because one of them was dating someone that wasn’t comfortable with their marriage. they marry again out of pettiness when the ex cheats. they divorce because robin got sick of the harrington name. they marry again for the buckley name when robin gets her phd in linguistics or sth and steve wants to live his trophy husband dreams. at this point they’re planning their divorce, re-enacting the drama, and then planning themed weddings with the wildest requirements. to those who don’t know them and their deal, it looks like the most deranged relationship ever. when really, it’s the most natural thing to them.

They are so dramatic please can they have over the top break ups at work parties where they throw drinks over each other but when somebody tries to intervene they both give them a death stare and walk off arm in arm.

Steve ‘throwing Robin out of the marital home’ while wear a gauze-y and fluffy floor length robe and a curler in the front of his hair. Robin standing on the front lawn in a pair of his boxers and the neighbours are watching EVERYTHING. the next week they are back to normal but their letter box has harrington crossed out crudely and Buckley written in sharpie

They take turns to get free desserts when they have a dramatic ‘im leaving’ throwing a fork down on the table when they are out at a fancy restaurant.
