I think it's important to remember that GLP-1s are quite literally medicine. There are medical reasons to use them. They have amazing medical benefits for many millions of people across the world. Using the new near-miracle diabetes drug that gave my father a new lease on life for trying to look anorexic isn't good, yeah, but it ain't the chemical's fault: It's two industries and a force of societal oppression doing that. Quit applying moral values to a life-improving chemical just because some people with too much money are misusing it. Keep your head in the game.

This is so important! I usually don’t reblog posts but people need to understand that mental illnesses are NO CHOICE! You cannot get over it, or snap with your fingers and just be okay again. It takes constant fixing and a lot of strength to get out of this. So to everyone who judges people with mental disorders: people don’t get a choice to develop a disorder or not, but being stupid and telling them to get over it is a choice. PLEASE DONT JUDGE THINGS UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND!

My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
