genuine writers getting wrongly accused of using ai because of witch hunt and proper grammar/structure in their works must be what being a woman in the 1600s who is wrongly accused of being a witch because she can read and is intelligent feels like
I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesn’t work. it’s never worked. it’s notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it people’s works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.
the only thing AI checker does is harm genuine artists and people in general too.
Asking AI to check for AI because AI told you you're too stupid and need AI.

Commonly Confused Words (4)
phased vs. fazed phased is typically followed by in or out, used to mean when something is introduced or being stopped slowly: “The company has slowly been phasing in the new software.” fazed refers to the state of being bothered by something; usually used in its negative form: “She remained unfazed.”
discrete vs. discreet discrete is usually used in a mathematical context and means to separate: “It is an ongoing process rather than a discrete event.” discreet means something inconspicuous or subtle: “I want this handled discreetly.”
ascent vs. assent ascent refers to climbing something: “She begun the ascent at dawn.” assent is a formal way to refer to agreeing: “The consumer needs to assent to the privacy agreement.”
its vs it’s its is the possessive form of the pronoun it: “The dog laid on its back.” it’s = it + is/was: “It’s not possible!”

Just saw the interview where Curry Barker explained that it's totally possible to get a normal wish from the One Wish Willow, and I love the way they did that so much. The reason Obsession happened isn't because it's trying to twist Bear's desires into something evil. It's not even because he phrased his want wrong. Obsession happened because Bear got his hands on a magic item that could do anything in existence, and chose to force someone to fall in love with him, which is an inherently evil thing to do.
I was never with you.
I genuinely appreciate how obsession doesn't try to frame bear as morally grey but just fully leans into how deplorable he is. a lesser movie would have tried to give him redeeming moments along the way but no, at every single crossroads bear makes the wrong choice. when the customer service rep asks him if he wants to cancel his wish, he says no, and asks to alter it. when nikki, the real one, begs him to kill her, he asks her "if it would be so bad to love him", and right at the end, backs out of killing himself and tries to throw the pills up. he is the villain, not another victim, not a confused, cowardly boy, the villain.
nikki begging bear to kill her and all he does is ask whats so bad about being with him. one of the most nauseating scenes ive ever witnessed
Her saying "I've never been with you Bear" (I might have the exact wording wrong but idgaf) is one of the most haunting lines in recent memory.
The real Nikki has been a captive insider her own body, a fugitive forced to watch something else pretend to be her. The only time she even has a modicum of power is when the entity is asleep, and even then she has no control over her own body.
She is a prisoner insider her own self - not because of her own actions, but because of the lust of someone she considered a friend BUT NEVER a romantic partner.
Nikki truly is one of the most doomed characters of the 21st century. Inde Navarrette and Curry Barker I salute you for the horrifying, devastating character you created.

Ways to Show a Character Has a Big Ego (Without Saying “They’re Arrogant”)
• They correct people over tiny details that don’t matter
• They assume responsibility for successes that involved a team
• They frame mistakes like they were someone else’s fault
• They treat advice like a challenge instead of help
• Brushes off criticism quickly
• They interrupt explanations because they’re sure they already know
• They compliment someone… but in a way that keeps themselves on top
• Taking risks because they assume they’ll succeed
• They mentally compare themselves to people around them
• Believing their instincts are better than everyone else’s
• Ignoring rules they believe don’t apply to them
• They react badly to being ignored
• They explain simple things like they’re giving a lecture
• Looking amused when someone challenges them
• They only laugh at jokes when they’re the one who made them
• They get defensive when someone else gets praise
• They view mistakes as temporary inconveniences
• They assume they understand situations before hearing everything
• They act surprised when they’re wrong
• They believe confidence alone should convince people

Types of female characters we need more of
older women allowed to have a story outside of the fairy godmother trope or being a mere caretaking accessory to another character
girlfail characters
women who stand on business and dump the pathetic loser bf
non-traditionally feminine women who bond with traditionally feminine women instead of putting them down (and the other way around)
women who take charge of their destiny
women whose happy end doesnt involve romance and whose romantic life is not centered much
strong but warm and empathetic women
queer women with a story beyond exploring their queerness
soft black women
female mentors who dont fall into the caretaker role but also aren’t unnecessarily cruel
grumpy, taciturn women
fun, flirty, seductive women whose personality is not treated as a promiscuous flaw to be fixed
weird and off putting women
tall, feminine women who are not othered or treated as less feminine for their height
short, serious women who are not infantilised and taken seriously
women in stem
female antagonists whose antagonistic behavior is not sexualised or motivated by being wronged first. just an evil, brutal person
women of color who are neither the ‘subservient damsel in distress who needs to be freed by the white man’ nor the ‘oriental, tempting beauty who seduces the white man with a dagger, a smirk, and a cocky one liner’
[Prompt Calender: March 8th, International Women's Day]
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Beautiful and Damned.
Also applies to "AI" "artists" and "musicians."

"oh? this gun hanging on the wall?", she chuckled narratively.
i can’t with myself i started reading my own book while waiting in line, got completely hooked, and then remembered i’m the one responsible for the fact it just… stops mid-story, which is honestly ridiculous and unfair that its fate is in the hands of someone this undisciplined
