Cat person right there.
Look at that tiny rectangle.

I react to any and all cats in this exact same way, every time
This really warmed my heart and made me smile.
6 Tips for Turning Your NaNoWriMo Draft Into a Submission
Now that November has ridden off into the sunset, you may be considering your submitting your NaNo novel for publication. Today, Samar Hammam, agent and Director of Rocking Chair Books Literary Agency, shares her thoughts on how to turn your novel draft into a page-turner ready for publication:
You might have heard the expression that writing is rewriting. Unfortunately, that means the main thing you need to do with your novel is a four-letter word: edit! However, the almighty Editing Process can be easier said than done. Here are some tips on how to prepare your novel for submission.
1. Think like a reader.
If you’re among 99% of writers, things will still be all over the place: fragments of narratives that you dropped, characters who don’t need to be in there, or characters who have yet to appear. Just because it’s still rough doesn’t mean you’re not a writer—but what will help you at this stage is to think like a reader.
Read your draft from beginning to end without touching anything. It should help give you the big picture of how the book is working. You’ll learn whether the voice is strong or whether it’s still a bit flat, if the characters are compelling, or if the plot is captivating. One writer told me they’d read through their whole book thirty times from beginning to end before handing it to their editor.

i feel so stressed about school
Writers, remember this.
…you guys…
Just read an excerpt from a productivity/goal setting book that concerned Tolkien.
His publisher mentioned that people wanted more about the hobbits after Tolkien published The Hobbit.
So Tolkien started another novel.
And apparently bounced between the depths of despair and the height of confidence for the entire process (he said that: “his ‘labour of delight’ had been ‘transformed into a nightmare.’”)
He gave up multiple times.
That book? Fellowship of the Ring.
You know what kept him going? C.S. Lewis’ support.
First lesson: if you’re stressing over your book, remember that Tolkien did too.
Second lesson: Writers have to support each other. Seriously. It might be the difference between a book that becomes beloved by hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) even existing or not.
02.10.2017 :: I’ve been in college for two weeks now and I managed to get one of the nicest graduate rooms in the ballot. Although I’ve been really busy I thought it was important to do some decoration and make it feel like home. I’m pretty happy with how things are looking right now.

12.1.2018 Only a couple of days left!! I need to stop procrastinating.
i love when ur writing an essay and u all of a sudden get a burst of inspiration or find the perfect source to back up ur point and it’s like the clouds have parted and everything’s clear and ur not gonna have to drop out
never mind everything sucks essay writing is horrible i have no clue what im doing im gonna drop out and become a street performer
NEVER MIND IM THE KING OF ACADEMIA IM GONNA GET 100% IM GONNA FINISH ON TIME AND HAVE A WELL STRUCTURED ARGUMENT AND IT’S GONNA BE AWESOME
never mind.
the studyblr community here is all students in highschool, uni, and some from middle school. thats great!! i love how diverse we are! BUT the internet is a big place - tumblr is a microblogging platform and there are still millions of users world wide. now, im not saying you cant trust anyone here BUT you need to be careful what info you give out - especially if youre a minor! here are some tips to help with that! (this is geared towards minors, tho some tips r more universal)
your ip address is trackable. u might wanna get a proxy ( generally speaking, scrambles ur ip). this also limits info outsiders can collect on u. these cost money tho and most ppl dont have them so dont sweat if u cant get one
lots of ppl (like myself) use statcounter to see how many people are visiting their blog. this is especially helpful if someone is harrassing you thru asks bc u kno the ip and u can block the user if theyre a repeat
DONT! use ur real name ESPECIALLY not ur last name
DONT! give out the name of ppl here u kno irl or in general! use abbreviations at worst and obscure nicknames at best
DONT! give out ur exact state/city/town! at most a country or the region of a country.
ppl please dont give out ur phone numbers or skypes like a free-for-all
if ur gonna post a face reveal really think that thru. really, really
if ur posting an audio file record in your house in a silent room. ppl may b able to build profiles of what u look like BUT they wont b able to determine where u r
BLUR OUT IMPORTANT AND PERSONAL INFO. dont leave it bc u think it ruins a pic to blur it!!
if u r posting selfies dont include clothes that have locations near u on them (i.e. a school sweater)
if ur snap is like, public knowledge u prolly shouldnt post pics of u n ur friends on ur story just sayin
just. dont. upload pics from inside ur school.
Be considerate of what u post!! there are losts of ppl on tumblr w/ differing opinions who wont hesitate to dox u or out u or get u fired (im not askin the reason behind why someone would have this happen to them im just saying it happens and its an all-around bad situation imo)
avoid. fighting with people lol?? nothing here really gets deleted - yes this is super trite but sometimes we forget and post whatever. besides u know how viral screenshots of tumblr posts go? u dont want that to be u
hey so maybe this is a little out there for a message to stuyblrs but like DONT SEND NUDES (1000X IF UR A MINOR). if ur a minor its considered cp and illegal and you can and will get in huge trouble with the law. in general tho anyone could leak them or show them to whoever u dont know
sending “I hope you get that job” vibes to the people out here tryna get jobs
reblogging for yall bc the shit worked for me lol
Karma will pop me if I don’t
who here was on tumblr 4+ years ago

How to study when you are tired
Get up: make the firm decision that you are going to study and move towards you desk.
Get tea: or coffee. The preference of beverage is up to you. You just need to believe that it will help, even if its only for a little bit.
Set goals: if you are very exhausted setting mini goals like studying for an hour will be much more motivating.
Get going: once you hit your stride, you will start to feel less exhausted. The key is too push through and put tiredness at the back of your head.
