25th of April, 2016 16:00 Donāt even have time to make my daily to-do list pretty, since my final exams are in less than three weeksā¦ So far today, Iāve managed to study two Greek texts, practiced some chem calculations and am currently writing a literary essay for IB English. With Stephen Hawkingās passing, today is a sad day for science. But amongst all his praise and achievements in the fields of physics, for me personally his biggest achievement was making a grand, full life despite the terrible misfortune of being diagnosed with ALS. It would have been easy to become a recluse, embittered with the hand heād been dealt, a brilliant misanthrope. But this was a man who maintained his sense of humor and refused to be mentally beaten. Three years ago, he told One Direction fans that the theory of alternate universes could provide a reality where Zayn Malik was still in the band. He conducted an interview with John Oliver where his factual, deadpan delivery was funnier than his interviewer, managing the cheekiest grins as he did so. And let us not forget that Stephen Hawking is the only person to have ever portrayed themselvesĀ in a Star Trek episode (Next Generation, āDescent, Part 1ā³), where he appeared alongside actors portraying Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton, whom he proceeded to defeat in poker.
Hawkingās observations on black hole radiation, string theory, alternate universes and artificial intelligence are things that will probably forever remain beyond most of us. But we could all learn a thing or two from his humanity.

Mock Trial season just ended and I already kind of miss itā¦ it was a pretty solid first attorney season for me overall :) Anyway, here are some History & Music notes and some highlighter calligraphy I tried out!

yesterday was the last day of my first semester in high school! it was definitely a special experience. it has not taken me a long time to dislike the way that teachers cram tests and quizzes into the last week before the grading period endsā¦ leaving you no time to bring your grade back up. so far, though, i think i will be getting straight aās!

today was ok, woke up late so had to rush which I hate doing. I guess it was mediocre, but itās alright (necessary almost!) to have these days
if you ever feel stuck or in need of transformation, here are a few things you can try. there are 2 types: short-term ideas to feel cleansed, focused, and ready for the long-term goals, and long-term ideas to help contribute to your growth.
short-term:
clean your room
have a snack
take your medication
open your windowsĀ
wash your sheets
stretch
make your bed
take a bath
start on work due later (it will make you feel better!)
make a meal/pack your bag for tomorrow
meditate
listen to a song that makes you feel light
take a break from technology
long-term:
keep a journal
fix your sleep schedule
wake up earlier
read books about things you enjoy
make more art
save money
learn a new creative skill (painting, knitting, etc.)
start a garden or even just adopt a plant
work out regularly
be more informed about the world
dedicate time to people you love
eat food that nourishes your brain

05 02 2018 || hello everyone! iām very excited to start posting some of my own original content here.
february is definitely going to be a busy month. iām going to venice for the first time and iām really excited to see the carneval!

i tried my best to do as much as i could today because i have an intense week coming up: i am staying after tuesĀ and wed, i am taking the amcĀ 10a test wed, i have an all day field trip friĀ along with a rehearsal thurs and concert sat for the same thing, and iām just trying to live my life in peace through all of it. whew.
on another note, a new girl came into my study block today and hopefully i will be able to be a good new friend tomorrow at lunch!
