to give you an idea what it's like trying to draw anything traditional beside my lovely lovely cat whom i adore i briefly stood up to stretch and open the window and i turn around to find him nursing on the (unopened) (non-toxic) (wisely chosen) (non-toxic) (cat) part. you know. the ink's nipple
he's four years old. that is a grown man
Who wants to hear a DIY tiling pro tip that the experts won't tell you
Yes!
Do not drop your phone into the bucket of tile adhesive. This step is actually completely unnecessary and massively complicates the tiling process.
You say this but my uncle is a tiler and he swears by the “drop phone in putty bucket” technique. I think you’re just posting this for clout
Your uncle is caught up in a tradition that he was taught as an apprentice that he never questioned. Modern putty doesn't require phone, the formula has changed.
MY uncle says some customers still demand the phone putty technique because it "doesn't look right otherwise"
Drop an empty phone case in and those customers can't tell the fucking difference because there is no fucking difference.
My mum renovated houses for thirty years, she says “you’re half right, but in some cases - particularly in houses built before 1930 - the phone does add some benefit. Could be a tablet too if you’ve an old one in the garage. And anyone who says it’s got to be a particular model is just being precious about it, whatever the forums say.”
know the difference!

a young girl with her doll
Ice age woman making the first discovery of kink when she gets ambushed while out hunting by a woman from a neighboring clan who rips down her thick animal hide coat and hold a stone knife to her exposed chest saying in a language that she understands some but not all of the words of that she will skin her like an elk and she without thinking hits her with the 🥺 face
"What did she mean by this" it means I was thinking fondly about ancient lesbians with cnc kinks what the fuck do you think I meant
I must now take a moment to criticize my own post i made 30 seconds before falling asleep cause theres no way in hell some ice age chick was the first person who get kinky. When we talk about the ice age we typically mean like 20-30k years ago. Anatomically modern humans have been around for like 300k years, to say nothing of the hominids we evolved from. If you dont think we were doing shibari with hand woven rope made from wild grasses with neanderthals and denisovans you're fucking dreaming pal
I got the Weekend Getaway line of Dream Besties!!
Hadn't bought a whole set since the Roller Skates girls in 2025. I'm so happy they're still doing this line 🥹 I mean they kinda released the main four in swimsuits but it was impossible to even find all of them in one place, it was such a straggled release :/
Anyway I finally figured out what Malibu's expression says to me, and it's "WHELP." Sorry I snapped that strap 😭
Teresa has a tiny bit of protective plastic under the bright red leg warmers that in no way covers the areas that need to be covered. So I made longer tubes out of sandwich baggies. I also had to hand stitch the hem of her sweater up because it wouldn't stop flipping down into view.
All their hair is so gnarly out of the box. I have to think they kinda let it go that way on purpose so the buyer has something to do when they open it. Spend thirty minutes fixing the rat nest. Also trimming it to be more even; my Renee has literally an inch more hair on one half.
I really like this set overall; the designers have a strong theme and did so many accessories.
I hope they keep going 🥹

Old sketch of Beej in a 50s crooner getup.
sex testing isn't making people discover that they're intersex, it's making people intersex. if someone's sex characteristics are imperceptibly different to what sex defines they should have, it wouldn't have placed them in a different social category until both the technology and the drive to test were there. ppl just don't really believe that sex categories are also socially constructed and fluid. things like hormone levels naturally wildly range between people before it gets to a point where someone looks noticeably "different" for their sex—a cafab person with testosterone levels deemed high today would not have been intersex 200 years ago unless they displayed noticeably masculinised features, because nobody would have known anyone's testosterone levels and therefore can't use that as a basis for treating someone differently!
more benches in museums

Two-Spirit
Two-Spirit is a term created by Indigenous peoples of North America in 1990 to bring together the diverse gender identities and sexualities that exist within their cultures.
It is not a single gender. Each nation has its own traditions, names, and ways of understanding these experiences.
For many communities, Two-Spirit people held important social, cultural, and spiritual roles before European colonization.
The term should not be used by non-Indigenous people, as it is specifically connected to the cultures and experiences of the Indigenous peoples of North America.
Irawhiti (Māori)
Irawhiti is a Māori-language term used by some people to describe transgender or gender-diverse experiences.
The term is part of the contemporary revitalization of Māori language and culture, allowing Indigenous people to describe their identities through their own cultural frameworks.
Although it may be translated as "transgender" in some contexts, Irawhiti carries meanings connected to Māori cultural realities and should not be understood simply as a copy of Western gender categories. ( Flag design by Irauí on Tumblr. ) @irawhiti
takatāpui (Māori)
Takatāpui is a Māori term used by Indigenous LGBTQIA+ people in New Zealand.
Historically, the word referred to an intimate relationship between people of the same sex.
Today, many Māori people use the term to express both their Indigenous identity and their gender or sexual diversity.
More than a specific sexual orientation or gender identity, Takatāpui connects a person to their culture, ancestry, and community.
The term is part of the Māori cultural revitalization movement and demonstrates that gender and sexual diversity can be understood through Indigenous perspectives, not only through Western categories. ( Flag design by Irauí on Tumblr. ) @irawhiti
Māhū (Kanaka Maōli)
Māhū is a traditional Hawaiian cultural identity associated with people who embody both masculine and feminine qualities.
Historically, māhū people held important roles as educators, keepers of knowledge, healers, and transmitters of cultural traditions.
The arrival of colonization and Christian missions attempted to erase these identities, but many Native Hawaiians continue to preserve and revitalize the māhū identity today.
Māhū is not simply the Hawaiian equivalent of "transgender" or "nonbinary." It is a distinct cultural identity deeply connected to Hawaiian history, culture, and spirituality.
Tibira/ Tybyra
Tibira is a historical figure documented during the colonial period.
According to interpretations by Indigenous researchers and collectives, Tibira may be understood as a man who had relationships with other men, or as a person who lived with a feminine gender identity or expression, challenging the norms imposed by colonizers.
Their story is remembered as an example that gender and sexual diversity already existed among Indigenous peoples long before colonization. ( Made by me )
Çacoaimbeguira
Accounts of the Tupinambá people mention the çacoaimbeguiras.
According to interpretations by Indigenous researchers and collectives, they may be understood as women who had relationships with other women, or as people who lived with a masculine gender identity or expression outside the norms imposed by colonization.
Their existence shows that diverse ways of experiencing gender and sexuality were already part of Indigenous societies long before the imposition of European models. ( Made by me )
