* Mum reminded me yesterday of how when we would take old stale bread to feed the ducks as a child (I know it’s not Done Now, shh) I would often feed them a piece and then eat a piece myself.

I struggled with major depression from about age 12 onwards. Reading this brought me joy and a spark of light in a dark place. I thought of it often to encourage myself during the dark patches. Now that I’m in the best health of my life, it gives me no small degree of satisfaction to look back on this.

I’m nearly 40 and I have clinical depression. I still grapple with it sometimes, but I know my own power and I I love that I have dragged others up out of the worst of it with me.

Like seriously people may think you are just some joke of a blog, but your posts- be it some are mostly just jokes- can be very sincere and wonderful. I know for a fact that just scrolling through your blog, just reading your posts has cheered me up on some darker days. There are some posts that are very thought provoking and make me- and most likely others- realize some very heartfelt things. So I guess this is a thank you for all that you’ve done and also some motherly pride thrown in there.😊❤️✨
