I can’t wait to see unrestrained unapologetic proactive and relaxed sex freak Shane in season 2. like he’s always had comfort in his interactions with Ilya but he was still actively in denial about his sexuality and that comes with baggage that needs working through but we see in TLG that he’s so much more confidant in asking for what he wants and seeing that on screen is going to blow everyone’s tits clean off

The way that brad and janet begin the movie wearing blue and pink, their societally assigned colors. The way the movie begins in a church directly next to a graveyard. The way these two people have been forced into their societally expected roles until they're literally stripped down and allowed to build themselves back up again free from anyone who would judge them based on their nonconformity. The way that the movie ends with janet wearing blue facepaint and brad wearing red, and, having comfortably switched roles, they're able to give their most sincere performance

i love when certain very specific things just gets accepted in fandom as if they’re actually canon and everyone just agrees that yes ilya is addicted to phone games and he spends too much money on candy crush and cliff marleau is a little bit bisexual (or ilya-sexual) and very unaware of it and also the biggest himbo you’ll ever meet and of course shane invents sex acts out of his own beautiful mind

Here’s what I’m thinking about: Shane “highest hockey IQ” Hollander knowing everything there is to know about Ilya Rozanov. Before they even meet he knows Rozanov’s height, weight, and all his career stats. After Saskatchewan he Googles Rozanov’s birthday and his shoe size and can recognize his preferred brand of cigarettes. Then they start hooking up and he learns the type of shampoo Rozanov uses, how he likes to be touched, how he sounds before he comes. And once they’re at cottage he discovers what Ilya looks like when he first wakes up, how he takes his coffee, how his eyes shine when he says I love you.
