Rogue/Gambit Week 2026!
💖 Bonjour mes amis! 💖
It’s been a long time in coming, but the wait is finally over. Here’s what y’all have been waiting for—Rogue/Gambit Week 2026. We’re looking forward to a great week celebrating our favorite Southern couple. Here’s the information you’ll need to participate. First, Rogue/Gambit Week 2026 will be held June 14-20, 2026.
We’ve decided to do something a little different this year. This is our seventh year, and it seemed like a good time for a bit of a shake up. Our prompts are quotes taken from across the comics and animated series. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Without further ado, here are our prompts:
Prompts: Day 1 - Sunday, June 14 - “I have a list,”
Day 2 - Monday, June 15 - “When’s the honeymoon, Ms. LeBeau?”
Day 3 - Tuesday, June 16 - “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. By your side.”
Day 4 - Wednesday, June 17 - “I can’t feel you.”
Day 5 - Thursday, June 18 - “You and I, we could write a book about it. Been down the same roads.”
Day 6 - Friday, June 19 - “Never use last with us.”
Day 7 - Saturday, June 20 - Free Day
(citations under the cut)
Alternate Prompts : Alt 1 - “Swamp rat”/“River rat” Alt 2 - Rivals (to Lovers) Alt 3 - Nightmares/Daydreams
Rules: 🩷 This is a celebration of all things Romy! Your fanworks may cover any point of their relationship—from their early flirtations to their life together as an old married couple, from friendship to lovers. 🩵 Rogue and Gambit do not need to be in a romantic relationship (friendship is great too!), but their relationship should be the primary focus. 🩷 Feel free to draw inspiration from any medium which they appeared (the comics (any corner of the Multiverse), the animated series (XtAS, WatX, Evo), the movies, etc.) 🩵 Please tag your posts #rogue/gambitweek2026 or #rogue/remyweek2026 within the first five(5) tags so they can be easily found and re-blogged on the Rogue/Gambit Week blog. You may also tag our posts @roguegambitweek . (This often makes finding posts easier). 🩷 Fanworks are not limited to fanfic, fanart, and fanedits. However you create, that is also a part of what makes a fanworks week successful. Yes, fic, art, and edits are the most common, but I’ve seen amazing fanworks accomplished in other ways. In our fist year a short video was shared concerning what Gambit keeps in his pockets. In another fandom, I’ve seen someone share why a particular musical score reminded them of the couple. I’ve seen people make text conversations between characters focused around that day’s prompt. Handcrafts, music, photography, cosplay, and countless other creative ventures can also be part of a fanworks week. Have fun creating. Please feel free to share your talents and Romy-love with us. 🩵 The fanworks you share should be created by you. 🩷 No AI please. 🩵 Any NSFW content must be placed under a ‘read more’ break, otherwise it will not be re-blogged. 🩷 You don’t need to post something for every day/every prompt. Feel free to participate in as many days as you you feel inspired. If you have created something, but are unable to post it on the assigned day, please post it when you can. It will still be re-blogged. 🩵 You may combine days (as in cover two or more prompts with the same entry).
🩷 Alternate Prompts may be posted any day throughout the week. 🩵 Have fun. Try something new. Create something new for an old favorite. Remember, the goal here is to share the Romy love and create more Romy content for all of us to enjoy.
Finally, a couple of this year specific notes: 🩷 All the quotes have been pulled from various Romy appearances. No matter where the quote appeared, feel free to apply them to any version of Romy you wish to use in your fanworks. (For instance you can apply a Evo quote to comic characters, or XtAS quote to movie characters, etc…) 🩵 You may use the quote directly in your fan works, or you could be inspired by the vibe of the quote to inspire your piece. 🩷 You may change verb tenses or the speaker. You may also change the quote from first person to third person.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send an ask.
💖 Have fun creating! 💖
Hello friends,
We are just about a month out form Rogue/Gambit Week 2026!
I hope y'all are being inspired and having a great time working on your Rogue/Gambit Week fanworks. If you would like to share your WIP, tag us ( @roguegambitweek or #rogue/gambitweek2026).
Remember, you can draw your Rogue and Gambit from the comics, movies, animated shows, or even video games! We love Romy in all their incarnations.
Also, fanworks do not need to be limited to fanart and fanfic. Fanedits, fanvids, cosplay, handicrafts, essays, rec lists, and so much more are all options in how to show your Romy love. We would love to have everyone share their talents. For example, years ago in a different fandom, a musician shared how a certain piece of music represented the couple. It was such a unique and fascinating perspective and something you don't see often.
We can't wait to see what you come up with. In the meantime, please share and reblog the prompt list far and wide. Thanks for all your help!
Hooray!
AO3 appreciation post!! reblog if you love archive of our own
Must not forget the annual awesome 24 hr drop of smutty fics by @scifigrl47 for April fools day

Copyright class actions could financially ruin AI industry, trade groups say.
AI industry groups are urging an appeals court to block what they say is the largest copyright class action ever certified. They’ve warned that a single lawsuit raised by three authors over Anthropic’s AI training now threatens to “financially ruin” the entire AI industry if up to 7 million claimants end up joining the litigation and forcing a settlement.

Authors have until March 30th, 2026 (That is just 9 days as of this reblog, which I am posting on March 21st, 2026) to file their claim against Anthropic to be reimbursed up to $3,000 per work found in the list.
Updated February 18, 2026 IMPORTANT: The Claims Deadline Is March 30 Background Bartz v. Anthropic is one of the major copyright lawsuits b
Please click the above link for all of the exact details of how to file a claim and to check for your works, and share this post as far and wide as you can before March 30th, 2026!
!!!SIGNAL BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!!!
Seriously, friends! If you’re a member of the class in the class action, you now have sort of 72 hours left to file your claim. If you’re owed money and do not file your claim before March 30, YOU WILL GET NO MONEY.
Don’t leave this on the table, cousins! You owe it to the creative community to take EVERY DAMN DOLLAR YOU CAN out of these thieves’ hides.
Here’s the Writers Beware post on this as of last September.
Here’s the Authors Guild page about it. It’s not insanely complicated, and if you’re in the class, they’ve made it easy for you to ID the works involved. (More than 30 for me, for example. Argh.)
Here’s the place where you can do your claim online.
DO NOT FUTZ AROUND IF YOU’RE OWED MONEY. Just go do it!
My husband spent 4 days playing "my personal jesus", a playlist of 170 different versions
I really got into it.
Has anyone warned @copperbadge yet
What a lot of people outside of Chicago may not realize is that The Beans are a native species to this region and right now is baby season! What you're seeing there is probably just an instance of a young mature The Bean being kept in a secure enclosure, probably due to some kind of injury that's being rehabbed.
In urban Chicago around this time of year if you want to go The Bean spotting you mostly just need to keep an eye out around downtown drugstores for formations like this.
I took this picture myself in a Walgreens. As you can see we have a nice healthy-looking family group consisting of a parent The Bean, several juveniles who will often stay with the parent for several years, and some newborns this year who naturally group up protectively near any large sign reading "Chicago".
The Beans are usually extremely docile and can even be kept as pets once the juveniles separate from their family group, since they are low-maintenance and require only a small flat area such as a desk or bookshelf on which to recline. Fun fact, a group of The Beans such as pictured above is known as a Tchochki!
Are adult The Beans usually around the size of the one in the above photo? The most famous one I know of is about three humans tall. Is that a genetic rarity, or is it more like lobsters?
There's a lot of debate in TheBean Biology circles about the massive The Bean residing in Millennium Park. It's not known why this The Bean chose the park or why it has grown to such gargantuan size. I'm not an expert, I just live here, but I tend to agree with the newer theory that they can regularly grow to massive sizes in the wild, but we only tend to encounter smaller ones because such huge sizes generally only occur in deep freshwater lakes.
It's certainly very unusual to see a The Bean of that size on land. Such a privilege to live in a place where they feel safe enough to take up residence alongside humans.
@copperbadge I have a question. I might be interested in keeping one as a pet but I want to be a responsible parent and need to know a little more. Can one of them be happy by itself, or is it better to get a pair for companionship? Also, of course, what is a healthy diet for them? Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Well, as I said I'm not an expert, but it's my understanding that once juveniles leave the family unit they're generally pretty solitary until they begin families of their own, so just getting one should be fine. It doesn't appear that The Beans reproduce asexually (nobody's really positive how they do it) so unless you want a whole tchochki of The Beans it may be best to stick to one.
For feeding you'd really have to consult an expert; the Chicago Parks District might have some kind of infomatic about it on their website. I have no idea what the big The Bean in Millennium Park is fed. Apparently you used to be able to attend feedings but for "public safety" reasons they put an end to that before I moved here. In any case, good luck! You're being a great prospective pet parent.
Mr Badge, I have concern concerning the Bean
I am concerned it might be an American variant of the Australian Dreamtime Nargun.
A Nargun disguises itself as a boulder and then. Boom. It rolls onto a person , crushing them and eating them.
Are you so sure that your bean has never moved...
That said, some say it protects country and enforces the law, so as long as you behave...
See patricia wrightson, the nargun and the stars, for more information...
you gotta include this photo

Ok the US Attorney General says that she will remove ICE if MN drops all our sanctuary laws, complies with ICE, hands over all our SNAP, Medicaid and voter rolls. They demand control over our voter registration so they can "ensure free and fair elections".
They want to control our elections.
I am dead serious people call your representatives. Get volunteering. Get protesting. Get LOUD.
They released a letter full of straight up lies. Spread the truth. MAKE NOISE.

Boosting signal. AGAIN.
hi mr badge, you might have answered this before! but i just moved to a new big city from a fairly small town, where i already had an established circle of friends. i'm a little lost on how to make friends and build a community in the big city now. everything feels a little overwhelming tbh! any experience you have had would be appreciated, but no pressure :)
In all honesty, I wish I had better tips for that; I struggle less now than I used to but I've never been someone who makes a lot of friends easily or quickly. Most of mine I met through work, or are friends of friends I met through work.
There are websites, of course, like Meetup, and often there are neighborhood groups on Facebook or similar. Especially in cities, neighborhoods sometimes have local organizations, like my local South Loop Neighbors, which has its own website and dues and etc. Though I tend to look more for affinity groups, nerd clubs, craft circles, and so forth.
And it really does help to be proactive in terms of reaching out -- if you've connected with someone, even if it's not very deep, ask if they'd like to get lunch, or hang out, or do whatever it is you both enjoy doing. Invite people to come over for snacks and crafting, or movies or whatnot. You can talk, too, about how hard it is building community -- you can say to someone, I haven't felt like I've made a lot of connections here but I feel like we connected, would you be willing to introduce me to other people you hang out with? That can feel pushy, so you know, read the room a little, but most people don't mind playing friend-connector in that way.
Making friends as an adult in a new place is a huge struggle, so give yourself some grace as well. This isn't a you problem, it's an Everyone Who's An Adult problem, pretty much. Good luck!
If you like boardgames or scifi, the local clubs are a good idea and often meet.
Or find something you like to do.
If spiritual, maybe Freemasons or comasons?
Or a volunteer organisation like ses or lions, men's shed or cwa?
Oh my guys, I am dying.
I belong to the Aphantasia Network, an organization that provides resources and discussion space for people with aphantasia, the inability to form mental images (which I have). Every so often they send out surveys and I always participate because the whole condition was really only discovered within the last 20 years or so, even though obviously it's not new in terms of existing in the human experience. I want to contribute!
But this morning I got a survey invitation that opened with
"Recent research suggests that the ability to sense internal bodily signals (called "interoception") might be connected to how we form mental images."
I spent months, when I was in DBT class, trying to figure out why all the physical stuff -- half-smiling, open posture, dive reflex, body scan -- didn't seem to work for me. I don't really feel emotions in my body or if I do I'm not aware of it, so soothing/stimulating the body had no perceptible impact on my emotions. I was still upset, I was just now upset and also felt dumb because I had a washcloth on my face, or upset and bored because breathing deeply is boring.
I was acting under the assumption that because these techniques were physical and were working for other people, they were both real and universal to the physical condition. I was simply disconnected emotionally from my body and therefore faulty in some way -- well, not faulty, but in need of some kind of repair, because the disconnect signaled a dysfunction of some kind. I had a fight with one of the therapists teaching the class about it. I had fights with people here about it when I said that my emotions don't often cause physical reactions, outside of adrenaline responses to shocks. Plenty of people thought I was lying to myself about it, and I considered they might be correct, given the data I had at the time. I say this in the tags as well but I was Unpleasant about those discussions and I'm sorry to anyone who was interacting with me and got the sharp end of my misdirected anger.
But...now here's an explanation, at least a potential one. There appears to be a link between inability to form mental images and either disconnect from physical sensation of emotion or lack of physical reaction linked to emotional state. The research is new, so who knows whether it's accurate, but I'm feeling pretty fucking validated this morning. It's very possible that I am emotionally disconnected from my body because I was born this way.
Aphantasia is also seemingly higher in people with ADHD, and both ADHD and poor interoception are linked to poor emotional regulation.
Wild.
I'm gonna have such a good powerpoint for my next therapy appointment!
Also, every time I post about aphantasia I get questions about it and I'm happy to answer them, but I would direct anyone curious to the "an aphantasia fantasia" tag which is where all my discussions of it go, including links to other research. If you venture out onto the internet to research it, I would stick to scientific research sites; there's a lot of woo going on around the idea right now, including attempts to "cure" it with meditation and hallucinogens, and the Reddit aphantasia community can be a very negative one (lots of talk around "suddenly" being "abnormal", looky-lous questioning if people with aphantasia are even truly sentient, etc), so read with care.
This is not me, as me feeling guilty makes my stomach feel nausea, me seeing a person crying or sad makes me tear uncontrollablely (which i hate because body, not my moment), anger makes my brain fire up with sharp cuts and angry tears, me being reluctant makes my legs feel like walking through sand.
So i think i live the opposite life. I have such strong images that when driving tired, my eyes twist shadows into dark stingrays, trees and bush into dryads, sun shadows into water lines. And the darkness of shadows rushes over the road like waves.
Interesting to see the other side.
I am LIVING in this. Please gove me an illusion of the good guys winning. Just let me pretend
He just sits his ass down on all those buttons that could or could not be firing lasers into space
If we can’t invent a touchscreen that recognizes an ass-dial by the 24th century, we really have no business being in space at all.
Happy 10th anniversary to by far the most viral reblog I ever made. I still see screengrabs of this on my own facebook dash like, once a month.
