"Quite frankly, I’ve never actually cared about what people thought of me. I cared what I thought of myself. I never cared if someone considered me pretty, or someone considered me peculiar. I cared whether I thought I was pretty or I thought I peculiar. And then I could decide whether I wanted to be thought as those things or not. Overall I never want to be this image of what other people want to see. I want to be the image I create. I want to be what I view as successful. People often mistake internal perfectionism for being sensitive to others criticism. But really it’s being sensitive to your own."
