I constantly have to remind myself that my situation is temporary... and as the days go by and birthdays increase, I have to remind myself that my passion and the will of God determines what I achieve and when it will take place. There are a lot of things I need to let go of, a lot of perspectives I need to change, and a lot of love I need to give (to myself). This year will be the beginning of acceptance of mistakes, knowing that they don't define who I am and that they are opportunities for growth... towards the woman I am meant to be. Cuz I can't tell right from wrong Thought I had all the answers But too bad I have no brain cells upstairs... Then there is the Tin Man Who has no heart, Guess everyone thinks I'm his relative Cuz they treat me like my chest is on empty Only difference is what he wants I wish I could rid of, So I would never have to feel all this pain deep inside... There's the Lion Longing for all the courage in the world. If anything, he is my brother Cuz I can't face anything alone. Might as well hold my hand, And take me on your journeys Cuz I can't handle my own. And last, but not least There's my girl Dorothy, Praying and wishing to go home. I know I want to get away from here But I don't know where else to go. They say home is where the heart is, So where is my home If I have no heart? And will I ever find it Since I don't have the courage to search... Never mind that, Cuz without brains I don't know where to start. So yeah, like I said in the beginning I have every role down pat, They should've called me up for auditions Cuz every role would have come natural to me There's definitely no need to act.
