I want to stargaze all night, I want to plant flowers of all kinds, I want to bake cookies in the shape of hearts and cupcakes with too much frosting, I want to climb mountains, hug sheep, run barefoot in the grass, write letters on torn paper, watch clouds drift slow, build forts with blankets, laugh until my stomach hurts, collect sea glass, stay up talking about nothing, press leaves and flowers in old books, chase fireflies at dusk, watch the stars blink awake, sip hot tea under a tangled blanket, trace patterns on fogged up windows, lose myself in thrift shops, fall asleep to the sound of rain, make midnight pancakes, and breathe in moments that feel like home.
everyone younger than me is having a baby and everyone older than me has 3+ roommates and everyone the same age as me fell down a biiiiiiiiiiig flight of stairs

The reason the work youβve done on how you feel doesnβt seem like itβs working is because you need to do it until it works. Itβs never been βthis strategy will pull you upβ itβs always been βhereβs something you can do that will END with you getting out of that holeβ the climbing still hurts and the being underground still hurts but that doesnβt mean itβs not working
Look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before.
Someday your hands will be old and wrinkled, the skin spotted and bunching over your knuckles. And a child will watch you make something. It's a simple task, you'll have done it a thousand times before. But to that child, the smooth, confident way your hands move will seem like impossible magic. You have to keep living.
it took so much tweaking from the original sketch to get this right and then i spent 2 hours trippin over whether or not the overlay looked goodπ₯΄ i still dont know!
included her hair charms this timeπππ
still love this piece a lot, i got to experiment with colors!!!

Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like....I don't even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like... He's just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.
Nazis are taking over my government, and like, not even just the Nazis we fucking elected! And I'm...making hamburgers? Because somebody has to make dinner? I just feel completely unhinged.
If your Congresscritters are sane, you contact them regularly and express your concerns and support for what they're doing to oppose and fix things, and you show up when and how they ask you to show up. (One of my mine recently asked people to contact them with stories and examples of how the EOs/policies would harm them. Apparently they got like 2000 examples in about 24 hours.)
If they're not verbally opposing what's going on, express your concerns and fears politely and frequently, preferably with material examples of how you are being harmed. And for gods sake, help find someone to run against them in the next primary. Too many sitting Congresscritters run unopposed.
Take care of your community. Get involved at a local and/or state level. The Federal government is not all-powerful. There are a lot of things your local and state governments can (and are) doing to help protect people. Make sure your local and state officials know the impacts of the federal policies.
Donate or volunteer at local support orgs (food banks, housing assistance, libraries, etc). Get involved with your school board or public library or HOA. There are a million opportunities to connect and support the community around you. Start there.

Sociologist Jennifer Walter, explaining what is happening in this country right now and what to do about it:
1: The flood of 200+ executive orders in Trump's first days exemplifies Naomi Klein's 'shock doctrine' - using chaos and crisis to push through radical changes while people are too disoriented to effectively resist. This isn't just politics as usual - it's a strategic exploitation of cognitive limits.
2: Media theorist McLuhan predicted this: When humans face information overload, they become passive and disengaged. The rapid-fire executive orders create a cognitive bottleneck, making it nearly impossible for citizens and media to thoroughly analyze any single policy.
3: Agenda-setting theory explains the strategy: When multiple major policies compete for attention simultaneously, it fragments public discourse. Traditional media can't keep up with the pace, leading to superficial coverage. The result? Weakened democratic oversight and reduced public engagement.
What now?
1: Set boundaries: Pick 2-3 key issues you deeply care about and focus your attention there. You can't track everything - that's by design. Impact comes from sustained focus, not scattered awareness.
2: Use aggregators & experts: Find trusted analysts who do the heavy lifting of synthesis. Look for those explaining patterns, not just events.
3: Remember: Feeling overwhelmed is the point. When you recognize this, you regain some power. Take breaks. Process. This is a marathon
4: Practice going slow: Wait 48hrs before reacting to new policies. The urgent clouds the important. Initial reporting often misses context.
5: Build community: Share the cognitive load. Different people track different issues. Network intelligence beats individual overload. Remember: They want you scattered. Your focus is resistance.

We delve into the life and work of Marshall McLuhan, exploring the key theories that have helped shape the study of Media and Communications
And to double down on the "wait 48hr" thing. People have GOT to remember that the speed of government (and the speed of our legal system) is better suited for a time when people only got their news once or twice a day (think morning newspaper and evening tv news program). THIS IS A GOOD THING. The sometimes labyrinthine bureaucracy of of federal government is there by design. Can it be frustrating? Sure. But a lot of it is to protect against things like this, to give people a chance to organize and oppose.
Just because we now find out about things as they happen doesn't mean responses aren't also happening. They are. Could the Dems be better about publicizing the responses that are in progress? Sure. (And the uphill battle they're fighting with the media is an entirely separate post.) But just because you're not hearing about it 30 seconds later doesn't mean it isn't happening.
Take a breath, think about what would happen if you didn't find out about any of this until that evening or the next morning. What would the picture look like then?
Remember: breaking shit is easy. Any toddler throwing a temper tantrum can do that. Remaking an existing system into one that a majority of the people involved in that system oppose? A much more difficult task and one that can be hindered on many levels.

He has given gifts to the other inmates for Christmas using the donations people sent his commissary account.
He appears to have attempted to communicate through flashing his cell lights to show his supporters outside that he could hear them cheering for him (this exact light flashing is what inmates at the previous prison did to communicate to the news that they were in support of Luigi, so he may have learned it from them and taken this form of light communication with him to MDC.)
It is rumored he is paying for the other inmates' healthcare using donations to his commissary account.
Inmates who shared time with him at the Penn prison say he 'gave them a voice' when they 'had never had one before' (in reference to the collective shouting 'Free Luigi' the inmates did.
He is writing back to supporters and is alleged to have informed one supporter that he is warm, taken care of, and will be okay. He does not want people to stay up at night worrying about him.
