2 weeks of term break and I’m back!

Currently going through a rough patch IRL and I’m using this platform and blog to distract me from reality.

In times like this I always try to focus on my long-term goals. It keeps me going. Thinking of graduating nursing school with flying colors will be my biggest motivation.

Sad moments are temporary, but a bachelors degree is forever. ❤️

A simple not so aesthetic notes 😌

I’m easily distracted with colors and diagrams. So, I revise powerpoint resources on a word file. Using only one type of font throughout (except the header), and bullet points.

I try to paraphrase everything to my own words. This helps me learn and understand the topic while revising.

No need to be pressured with having an aesthetically pleasing notes, as long as it makes it easier for you to learn that’s alright. ⭐️

It was quite a heavy topic, loads of things to remember. But with perseverance we survived the lecture 😮‍💨

Finally done with my Professional Responsibilities essay 😮‍💨

I had a month to work on this paper, yet, I did it the night before its due date.

I tend to do my essays in this manner since it makes me more productive. One reason why I do this because I like to challenge myself. To see how high my grade will be if I do it the night before. So far, nothing below A-, always between A - A+. Although, I could possibly get an A+ all the time if I just stop being lazy.

I hope I did well this time. The score I’ll get will help me decide if I can do college essay in one night, or if I should start enduring the pain of working on my papers for several nights.

T-20mins ‘til my first exam of the course!!

A rather rushed study tonight. I have online exams in 2 days (Friday March 25 at 1pm). Since its held online, it’s sort of an open book exam. As a result, I procrastinated, relying on my notes to help me pass the test.

I always make revision notes, make them look neat and organized. No need to be aesthetically pleasing, what’s the point in making it look pretty if you’re easily distracted by designs and colour. Make it simple and readable.

Also, I’m aiming at least an A. So, don’t do this unless you’re confident or highly experienced with this habit. ✌️

Tips for when you have an open book exam or quiz:

• Create a revision or a summarised notes instead of using the learning resources given by your tutor.

• Make sure all your notes are in front, and you can easily flip through the pages. This will save you time.

• Have a system. May it be making a table of contents or putting tabs on each page. Experiment. We have different preferences.

• Familiarise yourself with the material.

• Do the notes at least a week before the test.

• Study at least 50%. Do NOT solely rely on the notes.

I had Earl grey tea (no milk, no sugar), with a brownie, and shortbread biscuits for afternoon tea today ☕️🍪

We all deserve a break after studying really hard. Whatever you’re studying for, always take a break. ❤️

Yey! I love jewelries so much (wrist watch included) so when we were told no jewelries allowed when wearing uniform was kinda disappointing. However, we need a watch for assessing vital signs and such. I found out that fob watches are these cute little dangly watches you pin on uniforms, like a name badge.
