So I use glazes. And clay. And oxyde washes (that's new! still trying it out). And I wash my hands and my workspace and I do not just throw the dirty water in the sink because I don't want to clog it up, but I try to let it dry and then either reuse it or wait until it really is solid and throw it in the trash.
So I have a container for water with a bit of dark clay inside, one for light clay, one for oxydes, one for glazes (red + yellow-ish), one for glazes (blue + green-ish).
But. That's the theory.
See I currently actually have: - one container labeled "dark clay" (and I know I put some oxydes in it but it's fine, trace amounts won't change anything, probably) with water and dark stuff inside. - one container with traces of transparent glazes (so can go red or blue depending on what I glaze next, so I can't label it yet) - one container labeled "everything" (mixed glazes before I thought to make two) - one container with reddish stuff that's proooobably oxydes? But could be glaze too honestly. And since green and red glazes both look red when unfired, I don't know which color it'd be. - one container that had light stuff that had turned weirdly viscous but I think it was just clay? But I threw it away.
So: label your stuff. You think you'll remember it but you won't.
(I'm running out of containers. I need to eat more cream)
