As I am the sort of fan that likes to collect items as seen in my favorite shows and movies, I've spent the last couple of years trying to sort out what sort of fob watch Phileas Fogg uses in the recent PBS series "Around the World in 80 Days."
Prop masters whited out the official brand used as seen in a few glimpses during the show. I get that, they didn't want to spend $$$ on sponsor/brand names and logos flashed on screen always cost money.
Prop masters also swap bits and pieces, so for all I know the watch face and the case seen in the series are for different watches too.
It's possible the watch seen in the series was either an Omega, a Nastrix, or an Arnex. Or even some cannibalized put together amalgamation. I'm leaning toward the cannibalized version as the case seen on screen has some sort of well worn texture, possibly a leaf pattern, on the case. We never get a full on look at the watch itself.
Seeing as how he also looses his first watch and gains another, I figured whatever I would settle on would be fine and dandy for my purposes. So, after narrowing down the possibilities, I found an old Arnex pocket watch that was within my budget ($100 or less) and acquired it for the collection. It still runs and I could use it as a proper timepiece if I want to.
DON’T touch that old pocket watch!
I’m serious!
It contains the consciousness and living essence of a 900+ year old eldritch space and time traveler what has seen and done things most people can’t even fathom or comprehend.
Mostly he keeps to hisself inside the old thing but he can be TERRIBLE when roused!
So please don’t touch it.
Spotted an old fob watch in the 1996 Dr Who TV Movie.
A fob watch I made today! It's a personal model, and I love how it came out. Simple in execution but looks wonderful. The art's I've used are @cinnamonsly (Monster Mash cover art) and RobbieRancid (i have no idea if they have a twitter, if they do please let me know) (CCCC Album art (it's hidden in the back)) If either don't like me using their art for this, I will change the textures to no longer include it.

Time Lord Fob Watch Mini Painting
IT'S DONE!!!!!! This one was so incredibly intimidating because of that design on the watch. I had to get creative and trace it on and then go over it with the ink, which is not something that i've ever tried on acrylic, or canvas, before, so I was a little scared to actually do it, but I finally did and I'm SO happy with it!
This is also the last of the mini paintings that I have planned, so my desk decor at work is finally complete!!
