I have been in a massive slump lately. Inching very close to burn out, I want to spark some motivation within myself to complete tasks slowly and regularly. Today was a mediocre day but I did accomplish small things

- Attended coding class

- Walked for 3 miles today

- Took a super necessary shower

- Read chapter one of The Poppy War

Tiny achievements count. I am not going to wait for myself to become a productivity machine to do challenges like these.

Productivity also encompasses relaxation and rest.

Okay I kinda love this preset! What are we thinking? Yay or nay?

When I first started this “blog” I was considering buying a white desk because you know that’s the *aesthetic*

That meant I would have given this one away.

Like I really went to ikea and another store that sold those marble stickers that you can cover your desk with.

Until (a while later) I realized I hadn’t seen any IG pages with this colored desk. They were either white, black or dark brown.

Why did I want to fit into an aesthetic?

Seriously?

This desk has history, it got me through A levels, entrance exams, it got me through SATs and various medical school finals. Right now it’s getting me through my diploma.

And I was going to throw it away for a desk from ikea 🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃

So if you take anything from this post, try to find the beauty within your own belongings/surroundings before you try to fit into the “just like everyone else aesthetic” mould.

(Of course there is nothing wrong with buying a new desk, there just isn’t anything wrong with the one I have, it’s excellent quality and I’ve had it for ten years, without so much as a scratch!

Funnily the one I had in university from ikea used to wobble so was I really going to buy another one from there just because it was white? 🤦🏻‍♀️)
