What is This Week's Hyperfixation?

So I apologize, but I must take on this task. A new hand must touch the beacon. The knowledge must be passed on. The chain can not be broken.

So.

The Game.

The following are the rules of The Game:

there is no winning The Game

once you know of The Game, you are always playing the game

the point of The Game is to not think about The Game

if you think about The Game, you have lost The Game, and must announce this to those around you - causing them to also lose The Game

A "reset period" of roughly an hour or two before loss announcements is common in colloquial rules to allow yourself and those around you to properly temporarily "forget" about The Game, however that is not an official rule.

the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like. 

So you know. 

More evidence that Lucifer is healing from what Heaven did to him is his attitude towards sinners and how it changes by the end of the season. The intro/prologue story Charlie tells in Episode 1 says that as his punishment Lucifer was only allowed to see the bad in humanity.

We see the effects of this, his bitterness about only seeing the bad in humanity in Episode 5, where he tries to tell Charlie sinners are rotten to their core. He sincerely believes that sinners are The Worst and incapable of redemption or salvation. (Ironically, despite how much he doesn't like Heaven, Lucifer's beliefs align with theirs pretty much to a T in this regard.)

Which like. Fair, if you had to get cast out of Heaven, sent to Hell for all of creation, and told that all the bad shit in the world is happening because you gave humanity knowledge of free will. His attitude is understandable.

BUT by Episode 8, his low opinion of sinners has pretty much done a 180!

Aside from him literally saying he's changed his mind, he admits that sinners can have a heart, can have good in them still. Then to drive it home further, he makes a point to hug Angel and Cherri while singing about filling the hotel with "more sinners than you can dream".

He got rid of his disdain and disgust for sinners and now sees them as people. It's kind of like Emily: she sees sinners as "human souls" first and foremost, rather than only seeing them as sinners.
