The Lesbian Space Princess drama basically boils down to a bunch of people criticizing the movie for its lackluster writing and animation and then several fandoms latching on to it. The movie also got a lot of flack for possibly accidental transphobia because of some symbolism and character, which only added on to the pile. There's also a whole thing about LSP somehow replacing Captain Underpants on Netflix, which is an entirely different can of worms. It's nuts.
