When Geralt came back, he accepted his help in climbing down from Roach. Still unsteady on his feet, he stumbles when they hit the ground. There's a laugh that escapes him at his apology. "It's not as though either of us thought that would happen. Normally it's some ugly monster barreling out of the darkness that wakes us instantly. A weird shadowy specter is a new one..." Giving Geralt a reassuring smile, he pats his shoulder and makes his way to the building. Pushing the front door open, there's a musty scent that fills his nostrils. "Mmm...Smells like grandma..." he murmurs as he pushes inside.

With the bard on the couch Geralt went and opened a couple windows to air out the place to get the stale musky smell out. Then wen asked about the fire place he went over and inspected it, peeking up the stone chimney. "Looks intact. I'll check the barn for firewood later." Geralt says as he goes about the house checking the rooms.

There were two bedrooms, the main one then a smaller children's room. The house was devoid of any personal items, small things gone and only the large furniture was left. It didn't feel like anything bad happened here. Crossing the house to check the kitchen. "Seems like the the family that was here just left. Maybe weren't able to take care of the farm and decided to move..." Geralt thought out loud as he found some preserved fruit jam. He unscrews the jar to sniff and it seems fine so he puts the lid back on and brings it out to set on the table.

That's what it was about - what it was always about. That's what a bitter and jaded part of him whispered. That Nanami's own fear of losing all that made him happy again wasn't as important and Gojo's desire to have what he wanted.

He knew it wasn't like that in reality, that Gojo was pleading because he couldn't force the issue, because he wanted this. Wanted Nanami. He had to allow space for that knowledge to exist.

Gently, he took Gojo's hand from his shirt and held it in his own, studying it for a moment. Uncalloused, unharmed, because of his infinity that made him untouchable. Except his heart, which clearly Nanami himself had touched.

"We both know you won't die first," Nanami said, practical as ever, "you really think you'd be okay with that weight adding to what you already carry?"

"I don't think you're leaving. I think you're running. And what I can't figure out is, are you running towards something you want? Or are you running away from something you're afraid to want?"

"I've made so many mistakes already. I just don't want to make it worse."

"Come on, who's kidding who here? Do you think you would have taken a second look at me if you knew?"

"But I had to give you up. That was the plan. And then, last night, I couldn't."

"Let's go see the penguins!"

"Can you not say a word somewhere else?"

"You know, you're supposed to be helping me out in here."

"Oh, my God. This stuff is five thousand dollars."

"I mean, I don't know what I'm doing here, (Name). What am I doing? This is all a lie."

"Don't think about tomorrow. Don't think about anything but tonight."

"I can't help but feel that this is partly my fault."

"After all, we've only got each other to get through this... humiliation."

"The first lunch was a mistake. A second would be complete torture."

"I'll tell you who she isn't. She isn't like anyone I've ever met before."

"You want me at the benefit tomorrow night? Then get her to go."

"I'm terribly sorry to interrupt your busy morning, but we thought you should know what was going on as soon as possible."

"The press is gonna have a field day with this one."

"There's no reason to involve the press."

"It's complicated. Which reminds me, I gotta get out of here."

""It's complicated"? What kind of answer is that?"

"The only thing complicated between me and him would be unhooking my bra strap."

"Even if someone lied, they should be forgiven. Otherwise, we'd never have any congressmen or presidents."

"Do you think she could get a second chance? I mean, nobody's perfect, right?"

Dean huffed. “Just Dean, off the clock now, so no need to be so fucking formal.” Giving the mechanic a wide boyish grin and shaking his hand with a firm grip, and it was a firm one he got in return. “Whatever information you have, will be appreciated.” Gaining a bit of his professionalism back.

With Logan saying he had been a mechanic pretty much his whole life, he gave Sam a look of ‘see?’. “Beer-o-clock, huh? My kinda hour.” He turned to his partner and grinned. “How about we’re calling it a day too? We’ve been asking questions and got no wiser…” Sam sighed some more. “Whatever, you do you… I’ll go to the motel.” Waving Dean off.

Vesemir listened and observed. By observation alone, he could tell that more than half of the council were not very happy with what the naga decided. The Witcher couldn’t blame them. Still, when Sephiroth asked if he would accept the terms, Vesemir bowed his head. “I accept this punishment.”

Though not an outright uproar, there was noise about the man who tried to kill their deity was now given a position to protect the deity. It was madness. Muttering something about giving the hunter a new chance to strike.

With a pleasant smile, Bilbo takes his arm and begins to lead him out of his bedroom. In the halls of Erebor, there was much commotion. Life had returned to these old halls with many dwarves having arrived in the last few weeks from far away. After the battle, Dain had sent out letters to the dwarves that were spread across Middle Earth, informing them of their victory and inviting them to return home to Erebor under the rule of Thorin, the one true King under the Mountain. Many had already arrived and more were on the way, which gave these halls a warm feeling. It was nice to see them full of dwarves, and Bilbo hoped it helped Thorin.

"I heard the weather is good today," he commented, "Warmer than it has been, at least." He nods to some dwarves as they pass them, all of which were saying hello to Thorin but did not stop them in their movement for the front entrance. As they approached it, Thorin would be able to see that construction had already begun to fix the damage done from the dragon and the battle. Masons were there discussing the how they would put it all back together with a confidence that Bilbo could only admire.

Thorin would greet other dwarves in passing but was thankful none tried to stop them as he wanted to have some peace with just Bilbo. "Thats good. I'm quite tired of feeling chilly down to my bones..." The dwarf states and soon they're outside. Its bright and he has to avert his eyes at first, blinking a couple times to let them adjust to the sunlight Thorin then looks out to admire the landscape.

He might have broken a personal record in getting stripped. So much so that he had some time to think about how he should present himself.

He watched the reaction of his friend carefully, brows knit together.

"I don't want to hurt you," he firmly denied, reaching to catch Gojo's hand in his, squeezing it gently to ground him, "I just wanted to.. make a point."

He sighed, and took a step closer to close the distance between them, which forced him to tilt his head to look up at the white haired man.

"And.. I wanted to ask if maybe you'd like to find out. Togther." It was a big thing to ask, and he had to swallow down a lump in his throat.

They'd survived so much, both of them barely making it out of the series of events that had befallen the jujutsu world alive. Mahito, Kenjaku, Sukuna. So many things, and they were exhausted - but ultimately, it was all over now, and they'd survived.

"I finally have some time to take that trip I've always wanted, out to Malaysia. I was wondering if maybe you'd like me to book.. two tickets."

But that was not what Nanami meant and his anger instantly deflated. Shoulders slumped and he pouted, feeling bad for snapping at the one who was trying to treat him like a person. He listened to the offer of going away together as he gave the other sorcerer's hand a squeeze.

"Merde..." Remy hissed, the hair on the back of his neck raising in alarm. He knew it. He had been far too casual in this venture. Perhaps he should just shift, but honestly, right now the form he currently was presenting was his best bet. The man didn't exactly know what he was and it gave his a slight advantage. He smiled, charming as usual. "Ya like my face. Aw, cher.... ya shouldn't have." He batted his eyes placing his hand against his chest dramatically. "Non, not stolen. Born wit it."

The smile faded some, crimson burning brighter as the silence passed between them. His auburn hair whipped some in the wind before he took an exaggerated breath. "Fine...guess I'mma have tah go through ya." His claws grew out, black and sharp. Glowing bright pink sparking brightly in the night. His crouched down, one clawed hand reaching for a collapsed staff hooked to his belt. "Ah do enjoy playin' wit mah food. No mama round tah teach me manners."
