#its soooo funny bc we were raised to actually be the biggest consumers but then the economy crashed and we had no money for nothin#we were the biggest gimmick marketing gen and we love spending money on little treats more than anyone#also our mothers loved to work and leave our asses alone in the house with the tv to raise us and u think were eating home made jam#pixie stix/baby bottle pops/warheads/smarties/airheads/kinder eggs/lucas/gummy sbacks shaped like pikachu#our gen is so chubby and its not bc our moms were brewing jam for us#its bc the ice cream truck would come and we would lift up our couch for change to go get the coveted powerpuff girls ice cream#(this is body positive btw I love that about us. we love little treats and little things like gachapon soo much)#also nothing about the 90s was on fleek btw. everything was big-mismatched and wonky#and every fucking store u went in smelled like cigarettes and looked like u could get 15 diseases--#which is smth I hate about the aesthetic squeaky clean interpretations of the 90s#bc we literally only started having psas about sneezing into ur arm and facing away from ppl in the late 2000s......#like before that ppl would straight up open mouth sneeze and cough on u in a diner im so serious. it wasnt cute at all 

ao3 is important because its a library database and one of the best in the world, so much that we learn about it in graduate library sciences classes. it is also one of the last fandom archives on the internet. fan art is already disappearing and if it hasnt been swept up in an image catching site like pinterest than it is very difficult to find. hell most of the fanart on pinterest is linked to wattpad or ffnet - dated fanfiction sites which saved the art from the void of the expanding internet.
