So I saw a post earlier and my mind ran away from me. I just don’t understand why Warner Brothers won’t do something with my boy. SO I outlined the whole thing for them, because I studied this in school and just spent half the year living and working next to the warner Brother lot. And maybe if someone else does the work they will finally do something.

Oh my gosh, I genuinely can’t freaking believe this, but I think this is the first time Tim’s ever been in animation in a way that’s in-character and where he looks like himself.

Like this is just plain Tim, like, this is TIM DRAKE.

I’m so freaking shocked. When I heard he was in it, I was assuming it was going to be New 52 Tim or something or like that, or something in name only where he uses guns and kills people.

BUT LIKE, DUDES, GALS, NON-BINARY PALS, THIS IS TIMMY DRAKE IN ANIMATION.

I don’t even mind the name Batkid, because it’s so freaking dorky plus cute, and Tim is a massive dork, like he’s adorkable. That’s in-character for him.

I’m so freaking happy this exists. I was so unexcited for the movie once I figured it wouldn’t be a full adaptation of the story, but this alone makes me glad that it exists. It’s just a minute, but I’m so happy Tim gets to be in animation, in a movie, and be himself down to the freaking tee.

This is the most in-character Tim in any outside media, and I did not guess for a second that it’d be in this movie, I can’t believe it. This is some of the most in-character Tim content just in-general for the longest time.

We’ve been waiting for this to happen for years. After a decade of watching Tim get progressively more marginalized by the DCAU, he finally gets a character appropriate appearance.

So I’ll say it again: it is okay if you come to tumblr to escape upsetting news. It is okay if you’re just here for fun and fandom. It is okay if you do not want to use your tumblr as a place to read about or spread the current events that are circulating. It is okay if you need a place to decompress and just relax. There are other ways to be involved in/support causes and you are allowed to set boundaries on social media platforms without it being indicative of your belief systems. 

So, I was telling @egogrumps how much better this scene would be if they used britney spears Toxic in the back… and then my hand slipped.
