finding out this post only has just over 8k notes has been a devastating blow to my ego. i reference this constantly and nobody ever knows what im talking about. i go “oh, you know, the olm time post. where someone sits in their bathtub off a few edibles and pretends they’re an olm, the blind cave salamander.” as if every single person on the internet has also read this post. this is a classic to me. a heritage post, even. my entire worldview has been shattered.

the crazy thing about this is that it took one single word to turn it horny. coulda been a normal cute post. coulda taken the high road & conjured a delightful image of a mouse scampering down the bar with a beer ten times its size balanced on its head. but you had to say "mousegirl" and not "mouse." don't pretend this isn't what's going on either i know the score i know what's up. i'm familiar with this sort of semantic trick. you want to fuck down on an anime girl with certain characteristics of a rodent and everyone's gotta know.

I feel like such a fraud with my costume design degree. Like there are aspects of garment construction and drafting and alteration that I technically know, but have only practiced once or twice in an academic setting so to try again I basically have to learn from scratch. I wish I'd spent entire terms doing certain things repeatedly for months that I actually only got 2 weeks on. It mostly makes me feel like I'm waaay behind compared to people with the same degree who went to colleges that had an actual progression of classes for a specific subject.

Yeah I just tell people I got “A Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science” now because it makes grown adults make the confused Scooby Doo noise
