i was gonna write a lowkey little post but when i actually started thinking about it it’s craaaaazy how diana fowley is characterized in fanworks as like. an annoying harpy whose only goal is to drive mulder and scully apart when her actual onscreen, offscreen actions are soooo much more interesting, even when theyre unexplored. she was infiltrating support groups to report on women who’d been used as guinea pigs in a global conspiracy in order to secure her place in the world to come!!!! she was a player and a pawn in the same game! she hedged her bets against humanity and then gave it up in a last act of kindness?? that’s crazy thats insane what happened there! no one seems to care!
