Everything slowed down, it lost it’s color. Screaming broke the silence, an animalistic sound that was gut wrenching to hear. Falling to his knees with a heavy thud, only registering now that the screaming had come from him, and the water falling from the heavens wasn’t actually rain, but tears from his own eyes. He held himself tightly, staring into the vacant dead stare of his younger twin brother, who lost the light they once shared.
Now he was a single burning flame, dying out coming to terms with being alone in a great big world. What would he do without Emmet? Where would the Battle Subway go, where would he go? What would Mother and Father say, seeing him and losing Em, only having one of two children still, and it being the useless one of them both.
Gods, he was pathetic, he couldn’t even keep his brother safe and alive and living... Ingo broke down sobbing hysterically, still screaming into the night and the surrounding area for someone to help- please help anyone, please.. It was an accident, that’s all it was. God, please give him back..
“Help!! Help me please!!” His screams got louder, he shut his eyes tight to avoid looking into the darkness that now surrounded him. Eyes that were pitch black and gone.. and and-
“Ingo! Wake up!” Emmet called as quietly and urgently as he could shaking his brother who was tossing and turning into the blankets. With a loud gasp, eyes wide with fear and tears, the older twin shot up in bed, looking around wildly as if he was trying to find something in the darkness of night. A click sent a warm light into the room, and for what seemed like the first time, his were met with beautiful blue eyes, soft and warm, and alive.
Again, Ingo broke down sobbing, this time being held by Emmet who soothed him gently and assured him, everything was fine.
It was just an awful dream, just one, bad dream.
Ingo’s biggest fear is losing his brother.
