Therapist: How much do you trust yourself?
Me: I'm afraid to eat my own cooking
I'm rewatching Big Hero 6 and I just noticed something. Tadashi and Hiro were in foster care. At the start of the movie, Tadashi says "You graduated high school at 15, and this is what you do with it?" Which means we can assume Hiro is either 15 or 16. Then, on the drive home from the bot fight, aunt Cass says "10 years I've been doing the best I can." Which means she took them in when Hiro was 5 or 6. But THEN when Tadashi says "what would mum and dad think?" Hiro responds with "I don't know, they died when I was 3." Which means there were two years where Tadashi and Hiro weren't with aunt Cass yet after their parents died, which means they were most likely in the foster care system
To anyone who decorates their house for christmas by like lining the silhouette with lights because your house is next to a main road or a railway so passengers going by can feel all warm and cosy inside, from the bottom of my heart thank you, getting those lights on the roof or around your trees must've been tiresome and you're what's holding the Christmas aesthetic and humanity as a whole together.
James Michael Tyler: What can I get for you?
Matthew Perry: Oh wow...uh the usual I guess
James: (smiles)
Matthew: What?
James: It's just, I missed you guys, haven't had anyone to make coffee for in a while

New research has found that Lou Alcott, (Louisa May Alcott) author of little women could've been living as a trans man, or generally wasn't cisgender as they insisted on being called Lou and expressed strong dissatisfaction with being a woman, not only because of a patriarchal society but because of the feeling within itself, and how disconnected they felt with the identity.
So, whenever someone tries to argue "There wasn't any of this gender trans non binary nonsense in my day, it was all so simple"
Lou Alcott was born in 1832.
It wasn't 'simple'
It was oppressive.

I just really want to be hugged the way Eugene and Rapunzel hug after they save each other's lives.
They played "Running up that hill" in the freaking MRI SCANNER
(Me and my dad playing trivial pursuit)
Me: Well.., I was gonna say cats or wolves but-
Dad: Yes! So which is it, cats or wolves?
Me: Oh! Cats!!!
Dad: no, foxes :)
Me: ...
Porter: have you been getting any sleep
Me: yeah kinda, they wake you up for different things though, blood pressure and stuff
Porter: yeah I get that, I once had a friend in here and they woke him up at 4am to give him sleep medication

Hi there! I don't know you, you don't know me, to be honest we probably don't care about each others existence. And that's perfect.
I am currently in hospital for the forseeable future and I've been jotting down funny things I've heard and seen as well as my thoughts about this whole process.
So this is basically a disclaimer about whats coming up on my page, if you don't care that's fine because this is purely a cure for boredom and a place to get the thoughts out of my head and out of the notebook.
But if you do care, follow along I guess :)
Happy Sunday β‘
If I hyperfixate on a new obsession, (which happens pretty much weekly) and you are either close to me or someone I feel would also benefit in also finding out about this thing,
Then it will also become your problem
And you're welcome
For example last week it was Dan Jolles, this week it is gothic german fashion

"This book was so good I couldn't put it down"
No
I don't want that,
When I read a book I want to feel the need to put it to contemplate the intensity/ drama/ wholesomeness/ horror or whatever it may be that I just read
All I want from a book is at least one moment where I slam the book down, stare blankly into space for a while only to go
Holy shit
As a writer this is also everything I aspire to achieve
Have a nice day
The tag bookstagram was an typo I'm aware tags like that aren't welcome here

Energy should be treated as currency. People in perfect health are rich, and people with chronic illnesses whether it be mental or physical are poor. Everything seems to cost twice as much to people who are poor.
Simple tasks seem a lot more expensive than they might seem to someone else, due to insufficient funds, which leads to the poor being mocked for being cheap/lazy. Even though they're just doing their absolute best to get by, which is difficult in their situation. Sometimes we need to spend money on things we really don't want to spend money on.
Some rich people don't realise how rich they are, some poor people don't realise how poor they are.
Poor people are not inferior or less capable than rich people, they just need to be more careful with their money, and in desperate times might need financial help.
Save your damn money where you can,
Or you'll end up bankrupt
