I think my biggest grammar pet peeve is when people don't know the difference between everyday and every day.
Everyday: ordinary, usual, unremarkable. An adjective. You could say things like, she was pretty in an everyday way, not like a movie star. Or like, we had an everyday dinner that night, nothing fancy.
Every day: the amount of days is all of them. If the phrase each and every day (or every single day) works, it should be two words. Examples: you're supposed to brush your teeth every day. I kiss my wife every day.
After 12 years, kissing my wife might feel everyday, but I still make sure to do it every day.
Got it? Awesome, now go use them.
Random Dumb Thing that Amuses Me:
Inserting "and/or" between multi-word phrases. For example:
"I prefer softer listening, but sometimes the mood will take me for some good rock and/or roll music."
"Be patient, we gotta wait for the light to change. We can't just walk into a busy street willy and/or nilly."
"There's no organization in this bookstore at all! They're just thrown on the shelves higgledy and/or piggledy!"

Still delighted that the Dutch term for "trash can" - "vuilnisbak" - translates hyperliterally as "foulness bin". Yes. That is very definitely "foulness". And "vuilnis" isn't even the default term for trash - that's "afval", cognate with "offal". The foulness bin, full of offal. Very vivid.
