AO3 is in danger of becoming CENSORED. if you have donated $10 or more BEFORE june 30th, PLEASE exercise your right to vote (as you should have received an email to) and VOTE AGAINST TIFFANY GU, who is PRO-CENSORSHIP and PRO making AO3 “palatable” for outsiders and antis.

this is one of the few places dead dove writers/illustrators have to post our content, which is NOT illegal, immoral, or a threat to society. however, CENSORSHIP IS.

the fact that derek hale has just randomly been a father for the entirety of canon creates so many problems with existing canon (not that existing canon is good anyways) but this is just so laughably bad that we have to talk about it.

so, if derek has always known that he has a kid (ahem, eli-stilinski hale):

1. why did he never mention being a father to peter or any of the other people that he frequently hang out with?

2. why was derek's anchor anger/pain & not the love for his own son?

3. why did he even bother sticking around in beacon hills after killing peter & avenging laura's death?

4. why did he spend his time creating a pack & cite being lonely as a reason for doing so?

5. why did he purposely put himself in deadly situations & engage in self-sacrificing behavior multiple times if he knew he had a kid to look after?

6. when cora told him that she was disappointed in him & how happy she had been to hear rumors about derek being alive & building a new pack, why didn't he tell her that he has a son?

7. after derek literally died in mexico, why did he continue on doing dangerous things? like chasing down ppl in brazil & getting himself on the fbi's most wanted list?

8. why did derek spend his ENTIRE Hale inheritance on some old building in beacon hills instead of using it to buy an actual home to raise his son in or set some of it aside for his son's college funds?

and if derek has never known that he has a kid:

1. jeff you've already done the whole "long lost hale kid" storyline before.
