I asked, you guys voted! The next poll? A Best MM Ship Ever Poll, so here we go!
Now that we finished the Sterek Fanfic Trope Battle, it's time to move onto a new set of polls. A best MM ship ever poll. What do you feel is the best MM ship to ever exist?
So, a few things first:
For this poll, I have gathered around 1,232 MM ships. I realize that that is not every single MM ship to ever exist, so if you don't see your ship in this whole tournament, I'm sorry it didn't make it, but over 1200 ships is massive as is, and if I kept going this would take forever, truly. If you want to see your own ship that didn't make it in a poll, I encourage you to run your own polls/tournaments.
So the amount of ships in this is a massive amount, so they are divided into 16 GROUPS. The first 8 of them have 128 ships in each group, then the next 5 have 32 ships each, and then the last 3 have 16 ships. We will go group by group, and the winner of each group will then face off so that in the end there will be 16 ships battling against each other until only 1 is left.
The matching up for this was mostly random. I did make sure to space out the big ships, so only about 3 or 4 at most are in 1 group at a time. I also tried to keep ships from the same fandom away from each other to keep things interesting. Beyond that, it is random.
Since I obviously don't know all of these ships and all these fandoms, it may take me longer to find images and I may need to ask you guys for help if I'm struggling to find them. I also might get a character or ship image wrong, and I would have no idea. So If I do get them wrong, please let me know. I can then correct them.
And remember, this is a SHIP poll, so even if you prefer them platonically or hate the pairing, do NOT vote for a ship based on how you feel about it platonically or not, vote on if they HAVE THE BEST ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP, not if you love them together platonically. So think ROMANTICALLY, and no other way when voting.
There is about one or two ships that are technically non-binary, whether it's one or both characters - such as Aziraphale and Crowley - but I included them as they are mostly male presenting/sometimes have he/him pronouns, and people in general see them as an MM pairing. So I know they are shaky in terms of fitting the definition of MM, but it would also be unfair for them to be excluded from any shipping poll just because of that, and there not being enough non-binary characters/pairs to make a different poll all on it's own.
Also, just like me, every one of you will probably not know of a ship or ships or be familiar with it in any way, and that just means you don't vote or look up the ships and decide for yourself, it's up to you!
WARNING: Obviously, NO HATE IN THESE POLES. Keep it civil! You can disagree with the winners if you're bummed yours didn't get through to the next round/didn't win, of course, but don't go hating/fighting with others over the ship that wins a round. That will not be tolerated and if I see that I will either give a warning/block the user/or if it's too many people going too far I will shut this WHOLE thing down. This is meant to be fun and not serious. Remember that, please. Also it may seem silly to say this over a ship poll but a bit of this happened in the teen wolf ship poll, so you NEVER know and I'm being cautious here.
HATE WHILE LINKING TO AND ASSOCIATING WITH MY POLLS which could mean quoting or replying to someone linking to my poll! - WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Also, given what happened in the teen wolf ship polls, this has to be warned for just incase: If there is ANY significant spike in the votes in a very short period of time - like say jumping 10% points or something in like an hour of time or something - outside of the initial votes being given at first, of course - I will assume botting has taken place. If someone is making more than 1 account on tumblr to vote, i.e. fake accounts, that is also cheating and THAT SHIP WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED. Again, with what happened with the teen wolf ship battle, this needs to be said. NO making multiple accounts or there will be consequences.
Because this is a ship battle, there will be two ships per poll. So you're about to see quite a bit of of poll posts from me…just a warning if you're wondering why there's going to be continued ship poll posts from me 😭
As always, every poll will have a 1 week duration. I will show the brackets as they stand below, by group - meaning I'll show Group 1 and then once Group 1 is done, I'll show Group 2, so on and so forth. And after every round, I will show the updated version, pinned to my blog if you're curious to see every winner of every round.
