the thing about ningxian during the burial mounds era is that to wei wuxian their relationship is a nice friends-with-benefits/something in-between type deal, but to wen ning they’ve been living in a monsterfucking tragedy

thinking about this again because I was mentally debating whether or not wei wuxian would consider himself a monsterfucker, specifically with regards to being with wen ning. I would say his answer is ‘no, of course not, wen ning isn’t a monster he’s a person and my friend why would you think of him like that’, but meanwhile wen ning himself is standing off to the side in a little corner of self-loathing nodding and going ‘yeah he’s a monsterfucker’
