My whole ass family was born in Czechoslovakia. Guess what. They now have a passport in Czechia/Slovakia, depending on where they lived. They have a country to call their own. They have some of the strongest passports in the world.

But it’s particularly tone deaf with anorexia because a lot of teenage girls and women fall into anorexia as a way to control their body after body-related bullying or sexual assault. I literally just read in “The Equality Illusion” (by Kat Banyard) the story of a girl who hoped dieting would reduce her breasts’ size because her breasts developed very early and she has been harrassed about them since she was young. Anorexia after sexual assault is attested.

When they say “Anorexia will make you flat chested and make you look unattractive to men”, for a lot of girls and women suffering from anorexia that is literally the point. It’s not helping them. It’s vile.
