I do think we should be more explicit about how the devaluing of costume/wardrobe/hair/makeup as technical theater fields and strict separation of them from other technical fields is a manifestation of misogyny

I did a show in undergrad in the basement of a house off campus. My “light board” looked like that. There was a scene that needed a strobe effect. I literally just toggled the switch on the power strip. It was beautiful and it was heinous. I loved that show.
