DANA SCULLY & FOX MULDER The X Files, ‘Never Again’
I love everything about this scene. Letting Mulder's sentence go unfinished and letting the silence hang is so, so effective, and both actors use it SO well.
I find the running order quirk really interesting too. It's kind of disputable which episode is "meant" to come first, this or Leonard Betts, which means it's up to you whether this episode comes before or after Scully finds out she has cancer.
It changes the colour of the whole thing, arguably the whole character, if this is Scully before or after she realises she's probably dying.
