louis’ relationship with regina is naturally uncomfortable to watch he is experiencing a grief induced break with reality combined with the intense isolation of being the only one, co-parent included, to be grieving his dead daughter. the discomfort does not warrant bullshit humbert humbert leland palmer comparisons because paying an adult woman to have a conversation is surprisingly not child rape and is instead wildly racist considering lestat has spent half the season at the strip club or fucking a girl coded to be a teenager without a single person actually caring about the fact that he is a violent sexual predator. are u whacking louis because u genuinely care about regina’s exploitation or because u have been jumping for another chance to humble louis? the paying a whore to sit in a room and talk with u through-line is bullshit considering daniel was never louis’ ‘whore’ and louis has zero structural power over daniel as proven by his unceasing anti-Black and anti-victim stance episode in episode out and it’s eaten up by racist fandom because it was / is desperate for a white liberal to word of god to avoid a point of empathy between itself and the (ex-)Black leads. none of this can be disentangled from the non-Black writers room’s own racism which seems to be relishing in how far louis’ can break (relying on weak writing and story beats) while having everyone around him either consequence-free racistly abuse him every chance they get or naturalise the evils of his abusers in place of any opportunity for louis or regina’s furthered internality. crazy how none of this was hard to understand in relation to each other. that being said if u have ever said ‘i want those men away from claudia’ lumping louis in with the men who abused and lynched her / them unfortunately ur opinion is void in this conversation <3 sorry maybe try killing yourself instead

like sorry but his daughter died a horrible traumatic death and he unwillingly was in a relationship with the man responsible for it for 80 years and then the man he chose to open up to sold him out and that group he sold louis out to used louis’ pain and grief to manipulate him and have him kill the coven and bruce and it opened up all the old wounds and he came across someone who looks JUST LIKE HIS DEAD DAUGHTER. and he’s alone and lonely and hurt and grieving and no one even thinks he’s worthy of or deserves an apology for everything they’ve put him through and yet somehow he’s the worst. he deserves no empathy no understanding no compassion. everything he does must be malicious and selfish and evil. his pain his grief his suffering doesn’t matter at all. it never did.
