still can't believe the iwtv writers wrote a whole episode where lestat co-coordinated the LYNCHING of Louis and Claudia (in Claudia's case murder) in which he also used textbook DARVO tactics on Louis to racially vilify him in front of an all white audience, AND seriously equivocated louis not wanting to have sex with him for a few years to abandonment and as valid provocation for throwing him down a 2km drop.....and instead of seeing this spectacle of violence as just further abuse, i was ACCORDING TO THE WRITERS AND ACTORS THEMSELVES meant to be like, "omgggg uwu but lestat felt really bad the whole time and actually saved louis from the lynching that lestat coordinated and actually when you think about it they're even because louis tried to kill him too remember uwu also lestat has felt really bad this whole time in case you forgot and what does racialised abuse matter between vampires who love each other isn't this beautiful 🥹" I'm just...

This narrative that Louis doesn't care about other people's abuse is so strange to me when we have Louis' reaction to Lestat's story about Magnus in 1x06 and Claudia's both times she told him about Bruce. Louis was insensitive about Armand's abuse in a fight when he was high af (not an excuse. That was fucked up) . It's weird that the other times he was sensitive to someone's abuse are always forgotten to paint him as a heartless person. This is just another instance of people turning something unsavoury he did into his defining quality (e.g that stupid article calling him Lestat's pimp for investing in a company that sells his merch).
