All of the hints to Lestat being forced to be there from the striped suit, smoke and mirrors, 10-minute call, Lestat’s bruises, Lestat falling swaying and falling asleep, the cartoon behind Lestat’s head mirroring the mind-fogging being done to Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine, to Lestat constantly going off script, and now he did go there to put them on trial?

S2 had Armand keeping books and Claudia’s diaries away from Louis, removing things from her diary, torturing Louis in San Francisco, wiping Louis’s memories, blackmailing Louis into a relationship by threatening his and Claudia’s lives, directing the trial, taking credit for saving Louis, etc. But now Louis owes Armand an apology, Louis manipulated Armand, and Louis did ask Armand to wipe his memories?
